王者竜旺との延長戦に及ぶ激闘の末、サヨナラ負けを喫した青秀学園。
竜旺はコウたちを倒した勢いそのままに三島、及川の二年生コンビの活躍で甲子園へ進出する。
一方コウは、若葉が最期の朝に見た夢「大観衆の甲子園で投げるコウ」を正夢にするために、
そして試合には出ることができない青葉のためにも、最後の夏に向けて早くも練習を再開する。

10巻では竜旺に投げこむコウの姿に同一化し、一喜一憂して応援していた青葉。
読者は「もうこいつら（コウと青葉）、いける（結ばれる）んじゃね？」とついつい安堵してしまっていたのであるが、
ああ恋の神様、あなたはこの二人になおも苦難の道をお授けになるのですね。

若菜の命日の前日にあたる夏祭りの夜、コウたちの前に現れたのは高校生にまで成長した若葉の幽霊、・・・ではなくて、
全く別人ながらも彼女に瓜二つの美少女滝川あかね。空き家になったコウのうちの隣に新たに開店するらしいおそば屋さんの一人娘である。
コウもまわりの人間も若葉と見間違うほどのその容姿に驚きを隠せない。

「おれの中の若葉は小五のまんまだよ」とコウは言う。
たしかに、若葉は若葉、あかねはあかね。二人は全くの別人だ。
でも男女の仲、その行き先で何が起こるかなんてわかったもんじゃない。
はたしてあかねは、コウにとってのファムファタール（男を破滅に導く女）なのか！？
そして「ありがと」とコウにようやく素直に言えるようになった青葉は、彼女のことをどう思う！？

東に言わせれば人間関係が「ややこしくなってきた」、監督に言わせれば「野球は？」な感じの待望の第11巻っ！！

九巻でぶっちゃけつまらんとレビューした者ですけど、十一巻はおもしろいです。
新キャラ登場でドラマチックになってきた第十一巻!
これからに期待です。

野球の試合のシーンが嫌いというほどではないが面白さで言うと星三つくらいになってしまう。でも野球の試合のシーンがあるからこそ、こういう日常ドラマがさらに際立つというのもあるかもね。さてストーリーはドラマチックに展開するが、その展開が意外というか、あるいはいまどきの作家ならクサ過ぎてそこはいかないだろう、という展開に突入します。クサメロ路線。う〜ん、いいね〜。

ところで新キャラ可愛いね。
