前巻からの、かごめ対瞳子の対決から始まる５２巻。
今回は、かごめと四魂の玉に関する新たな秘密が発覚し、
前巻で冥道残月波を犬夜叉に譲った（？）殺生丸は
ピンチにあうという展開。
５０巻の大台を越えてなお、新たな展開を繰り広げ、
終わりに近づきながら、また離れていくというストーリーに
ファンは嬉しいやら悲しいやら。

いっそこのまま終わらなくてもいいのでは、と思いつつ
かごめの進路が気になる５２巻でした。
はやく５３巻でないかな？

瞳子との対決の結果、予想もしないかごめの秘密が明らかに！
また、曲霊（まがつひ）との対決により、殺生丸の身に新たな展開が！

主要人物が1人また1人と姿を消す中、残った犬夜叉陣営は近づく決戦に向け皆着実に変化を遂げており、
終盤になっても次々現れる新しい敵もそのための踏み台であり、無駄な戦いはなくなってきています。
･･･とは言っても、あーじれったい!!
2ヶ月に1冊と順当な出版なので、2〜3冊づつたまるのを待って読むのもいいかなと言う気もしてきました。
決戦までまだまだ先は長そうですが、腰据えてお付き合いさせていただきます。

以前はサンデーで犬夜叉を見ていたが、闘う逃げる強くなるの繰り返しで飽きて読まなくなってしまった。（確か七人隊あたりでやめたと思う）
ふと、あれから犬夜叉はどうなったのだろうと１〜５２巻をまとめて大人買いした。
１巻から読んでいくうちにみるみる犬夜叉の世界に引きずり込まれ、あっという間に５２巻読み終わってしまった。
５２巻と、とても長いのに全く飽きを感じさせなかった。
以前はわからなかったが、犬夜叉たちは奈落と闘い、あと一歩のところで逃がしてしまったとしても、確実に奈落に近づいている。
また、犬夜叉だけではなく周りのキャラクター達も強くなっている。
ただこれは、一気読みしたからわかったことで、リアルタイムで見ていたらじれったくてしょうがないのかもしれない。（現に以前私がそうだった）

なんにせよ、再び犬夜叉の世界に引きずり込まれてしまったからには、今度こそ最後まで犬夜叉たちの闘いから目を離さずに、根気よく単行本を買い続けようと思う。
