5.0 out of 5 stars 本編最終話としては★４、１冊トータルとして★５, 2006/8/11
人材派遣会社ＡＣＥのドライバーの物語、最終話。前巻から話を引っ張った割に、最終局面は予想の範囲内に収まっていて、読後感は今ひとつ。しかし、その後の外伝３本が良く纏まっている上に、これまでの物語で人物描写に物足りなさを感じていた分を綺麗に補完。
結局、１冊の本としてのトータル評価は★５になりました。
それにしても、悟のお母さんは亜取アキラに良く似てる。３美女プラスワンの決着は付かないまま、その後は読者の想像に任されて、その点はありがたいと思います。

　車はアクセルさえ踏めば、たとえ子供でも動かすことができるし、人を殺すこともできる。自分で制御しきれない力は、どれほど偉大なものであっても害悪に過ぎない。力に振り回されてしまったキマイラにもようやく安らぎの時が訪れる。
　最後の悟の幼少期の物語が面白い。最後の最後になって、悟のACEドライバーへの思いが明らかにされる。かくて、物語ははじめに戻り、そして続く、と。

アームズとスプリガンのＤＮＡを見事に受け継いだこの物語も終焉を迎えました。
物語のオチはなんとなく分かっていたのですが、大団円なので安心して読めます。
外伝も３本入っていて、物語に厚みを持たせてくれます。
しかし、どこまでもアームズ＆スプリガンなので、この全てを読んできたファンの私にとっては、なんとなく複雑な心境です。
特に、母親が無敵の工作員なんて所は・・・。
さすがに、次回作も高校生が超人で、特別な構成の家族ってのは勘弁して欲しいと思います。
まあ、水戸黄門現象で、それでもいいと言う事かもしれませんけどね・・・。
