基本的に良くも悪くもあだちワールド全開なので、他のあだち作品が好きなら間違いなく楽しめます。

全12巻の中に青春が詰まっていて、読んでいると高校生の頃に浴びた夏の太陽と草木の匂いが蘇ります。個人的には亜美よりも小柳かおりの方がタイプです(笑)

綺麗にまとまっている、あだち先生のスポーツ&恋愛の青春漫画。

題材に「水泳」を選んでいる点が珍しいと思います。他作品では滅多に見ない。
理由は競技のシーンが見せにくいからだと思います。実際に競技シーンだけだったら同級生の緒方がやっている野球のほうが成り立っていると思うし。(←流石、あだち作品。主人公が野球をやっていなくても「試合のシーン」が出てくるのですね・・・・)
ヒロインも飛び込みをやってて、水着シーンを問題なく描けるからかも・・・なんてことも思いましたけれどね(笑)

自分が読んだあだち作品中では緒方を筆頭として最も「脇キャラ」に魅力があった。
本来なら二ノ宮を巡る恋のライヴァル・・・ということで「足の引っ張り合い」をしたっておかしくはないのに、そんなギスギスした雰囲気とは無縁。
作中において時間が経過していく中で、二ノ宮の気持ちが大和にあることをそれぞれが薄々感じ取ってからは、影ながら2人の仲を応援し祝福するような「仲間」となるのはとても良かった。

大和の真のライヴァルは二ノ宮の幼馴染であり、水泳でも大和の「憧れの人」。
だからこそ「溺れた二ノ宮を助けられたとき」大和は二重の意味で愕然としたのだった。
そんなライヴァルが事故にあって選手生命の危機が叫ばれる中、大和は虚脱感に襲われ、二ノ宮は事故を自身の責任と感じて2人の間で板挟みとなって苦しむ。

水泳でも恋でも「不戦勝」では納得のいかない大和。
だが、事故から脅威の復活を遂げたライヴァルもその気持ちは同じだった。
いざ対決の日を迎えて・・・・試合の結末を読者に委ねたような形で物語の幕は降りる。

「大和」の勝ちと思うのは早計です。
私は「お兄ちゃんの執念」に大和が敗れる展開もありだと思う。

あだち充が描いたものなので、主人公がケイスケなんだかタツヤなんだかわからなくなってくるし、ヒロインもミナミなんだか二ノ宮亜美?それともミユキ？なんだかわからなくなってくるけど、羨ましい男女の距離感です。


きまってヒロインは学校のマドンナなんですよね！男性の方は普段はとぼけているけど何かのきっかけで本気になった時の能力は全国レベル。


最後のシーンもグッとくるものがあったので、ぜひぜひ読んでみて！


次はタッチでも読んでみますか〜＾＾。
