不定期連載の方はあえて読まないで、コミックになるのを1年に1度楽しみにしています。
こんなに1ページ1ページ大事に読む作品は他にないです。
今回は高橋くんのお父さんが「息子と繋がっていたい」とメイルを始めます。

主人公の3人だけじゃなく、その周りにいる人達一人一人の小さな成長も丁寧に描写しているとこがこの作品の素晴らしいとこの一つです。

また来年の秋が待ち遠しいです。

野宮、戸川、高橋にやっと進むべき道が見えた。
取って付けたようなその場しのぎの脚本ではなく、３人が
３人とももがき苦しんでようやく見つけた道。

自分の力で見つけた道を進む人の力強さが伝わりました。
夏美ちゃんの焼け野原の表現はパンドラの箱みたいで、
とても説得力ありました。
自分の心が焼けたとき、果たして自分には何が残るのか・・・

気持ちを切り替えるきっかけは視点を変えること。
自分を現在地とすると、その地点を上下左右いろんな
ところから見てみると物事違った見え方をする。
空の視点と９秒の視点はすごかった。
ちなみに、武蔵は上から見て寝ていた虎を起こしてました。

強さとは、現実(リアル)を受け入れる覚悟。
現実(リアル)の中で生きていく覚悟。を持つことだと
感じました。

ドリームスをあと一歩の所まで追いつめたものの敗退したタイガース。しかし、それをきっかけに彼らは、「来年のドリームス撃破」という新しい目標を胸に再スタートを切る。会社の倒産で生きる指針を失いつつあった野宮は、彼らを目の当たりにして、己の再起も計ろうとするが･･･。

このマンガは車椅子バスケを題材にあつかっているがために、読んだことのない人からは「そういうもの」がテーマとなった作品なのだと思われがちである（「そういうもの」というのは、僕たちが常日頃染まっている偏見やらヒューマニズムやらなにやらいろんなものだ）。しかしながら、このマンガがテーマとするその本当の射程は障害に止まらない、もっと大きくてもっと普遍的なことであって、そのメッセージは誰にだって届くべきものではないだろうか。

「失う」ということを、元来僕たちはネガティブにとらえてきた。もちろん今だって依然、失うことは恐いし、願わくは避けてとおりたいことだ。
しかし、あまりに多くのものを失ったが故に、逆に見えてくるものもあるんじゃないだろうか。たった一つの残されたものであるが故に、真剣に取り組めることだってあるんじゃないだろうか。
もちろん、障害を負った人の一生癒えることのない喪失と、僕が感じるちっぽけな「喪失」を一緒くたにすることなんてできはしない。でも「喪失したという事実」にこそ、健常者と身障者という区別なく、両者が共有できる「希望の弁証法」みたいなものが隠されているんじゃないだろうか。なんだかそういうことを、このマンガを読んでいたら思ってしまう。

もちろんこの先、野宮がプロバスケット選手として華々しくデビューしたり、高橋の社会復帰が何の滞りもなく実現してしまうなら、それは陳腐な“美談”に終わってしまうのかもしれない。
しかしそこは井上雄彦、並大抵の、予定調和の展開は用意していないのだろう。
読むのがためらわれるようなその息苦しいリアルを、この先も待望したい。
