ようやくこのあたりになって、過去の伏線の数々が生きてくる１８巻目。
この作品、序盤からあちこちに伏線が敷かれているのだが、その種明かし時期がかなり遅い。

屍の龍門の秘密や、真夜の姉・亜夜が棗家の濃い血をひいているにも関わらず、なぜか龍門がない（ようにみえる）秘密など。
それらはこの巻で明かされるわけだが、過去の巻を見直すと、確かに伏線は敷かれている。

が、それを明かすのに一体何巻かかってるのやら（苦笑）
この巻あたりまで読み進めないと、この作品の真の面白さはなかなか伝わらないだろう。
そういう意味で、読み手を選ぶ作品なのは相変わらずだと思った。

18巻は亜夜と屍の戦いがメイン、最大の見所になります♪
大暮氏の画力がフルに生かされたバトルシーンは圧巻の一言で迫力があり、またそういった絵や構図などからくる表面的なアクションの凄さに加え、戦う理由であるとか戦いの最中における成長であるとか……バトルそのもの(いわば内面も)が今回は面白かったと思いますね!
個人的には今までの【天上天下】の巻の中でも、一、二を争うくらいに満足した巻だったかも知れません(苦笑

また、謎の多い【式刀・零毀】についても徐々に判明するものもあり、後半における光臣と文七の対決も忘れてはなりません!
二人の戦いの結末に期待が高まります♪

本人の気力がうせたのか、それとも、このまま突き進み、作品がすぐに終わってしまうのを防ぐ為に、無理やり延命させようと回想を入れたのか？。
15巻、16巻は、Samurai deeper Kyo のクライマックス手前にある、壬生一族の回想シーンぱりに、長い架空の日本史と絡めた話しに、小さい子供が読んだら、歴史を間違って憶えてしまうのではないかとはらはらさせられていたが、やっと、この巻から、基本路線に戻り、安心したのもつかの間。
これは誰？。と、キャラクター達の絵柄が変り、綺麗な絵とは言え、美男子になり過ぎたヤオイキャラの乱立、今まで読んでいながら、誰が誰なのか、ネームから名前がでてくるまで、判らなかった。
途中まで読むと、既にドラゴンボールの末期状態と言えなくもないぐらい力のバランスは崩れはて、このままでは、類型のSamurai deeper KyoやＢＢの様に、神がかり的な話となっていくのか？。
どうもこのまま破綻するのではないかと嫌な予感がしてしまう。
とんでも作品になって終わるか、それとも、紙一重で名作になるのか、ある意味、この巻から注目である。
