ヤンジャンで連載していた「EVIL HEART １−３」の続編です。
ヤンジャンで打ち切りっぽく終わったので、続きが読めなくなるのかと、とっても悲しかったのですが、こんな形で続きが出てホントに嬉しい。
「気編」が出るような気にさせなくもなかったコミックの３巻でしたが、そんな素敵なことあるわけないような〜と、期待していなかっただけに喜びもひとしおです。

話のおおざっぱな流れは、すさんでいた少年、正木梅夫が合気道を通じて、ちょっとずつ、行ったり来たりしながら、成長する話です。
こういうと凄くありきたりなのだけど、いや、合気道というのは確かにマイナーな素材だけど、それを除けば成長物語としてはありきたりかもしれないけど、一つ一つの物事が丁寧に描かれていて、そこが魅力なのです。
暴力によらずに問題を解決にするには？、ということを少しずつ理解していくことが、とても自然に読んでいて受け止められるマンガです。

「気編」は梅夫を変えるきっかけとなった合気道のダニエル先生が、成長する梅夫の刺激を受け、変わろうとする物語。
舞台は里帰りするダニエル先生を追ってやってきたカナダ。
その中でまた、梅夫も一歩進み、ダニエルはトラウマを乗り越えていく。
ともに刺激しあうこと、それが成長すること、ということがじっくり描かれる。

可愛い絵柄なのに、デフォルメされた絵柄なのに、凄く訴えてくるモノがあります。
心の機微を捕らえるディテールに、ストーリーテリングにうまさがあるような気がします。

ひねていて、それでいてまっすぐな梅夫は魅力的だし、取り巻くお姉ちゃん、真知子も友人の鶴も可愛いし、それなのに皆、かりっと氷が掻けたような辛いところを持っています。
その辛いところが魅力をいっそう高めているのでしょう。

魅力を伝えるのは難しいですが、読むと元気になります。
次は完結編とラストへと物語が進んでいくことになります。
一巻丸ごと書き下ろしですが、連載のような体裁を取っています。
出来ることなら、雑誌連載で読みたかった。
次巻も楽しみです。

本作では，主人公の少年より師匠である青年の話が中心ですが，
そんな中でも，また少し変化や強さを見せる少年がほほえましく，
特に，そりの合わない相手とのやり取りから，自分を見つめなおし，
合気道を知ることで，生きることを知る姿には頼もしささえ感じます．

また，そんな少年に自分を重ね，過去を乗り越えようとする青年．
子供と大人がともに成長をしていく終盤には，強く心を打たれます．

中盤に出てきた新たな人物，そして未だに抱えつづける問題，
少しずつ満たされていく中で，少年がどういう結論を導くのか，
さらなる少年の成長とともに，次作となる完結編が期待されます．

ナンバリングではありませんが，既発の1-3巻のつづきになります．
一応，これまでのまとめはありますが，できればそちらからどうぞ．

「気編」の登場です。
ずっとこの巻を心待ちにしていました。
全三巻だと思っていたので「気編」が出ると知り、とても喜びました。

全頁書き下ろし(下世話な話、原稿料って出ないんですよね…?)で、読みごたえ抜群です。
梅の更なる成長、ダニエル先生の過去、マチコちゃんの心情。
気になるストーリーが目一杯詰まっています。
鶴ちゃんは殆ど出てきませんが…。
いよいよ梅と兄の話かと思いましたが、今回はダニエル先生の過去についてのお話です。
梅とマチコちゃんが日本を離れ、里帰りした先生を追ってカナダへ…!
カナダでも合気道ずくしです。
相変わらず迫力のある絵で、読んでいてぐいぐいと話の中に惹き込まれていきます。

分厚くて、少しお値段も高めかもしれませんが、買って損無しの素晴らしい作品です。
この巻から読んだ方はぜひ、1〜3巻も読んでみてください。

次はいよいよ完結編です!発売日は未定ですが、今から楽しみにしております。

これを期に、まだ読んだ事が無いので「キャラメラ」も復刊して欲しい…。
