いきなり登場する東亜重工本社ビルとその惨状、そして続くバイクVS戦闘機、そして乗っ取った戦闘機VS艦船の戦闘シーンと、いきなりテンションの高いスタートです。
１巻では、探索の合間、成り行きからの戦闘という展開から、いくらかゆっくり読みすすめる余地がありましたが、今回は戦闘シーン大目のスピーディーな展開、ページを繰る速さも違うのですが、その合間に挿入される合成人間の開発場面や、その精神的成長を促進させるための仕組み、火星での出来事から続く企業の歴史から、熊の食料調達エピソードなど、弛緩のテンポがあるページ進行に見せる場面、読ませる場面への意識が感じられます。
普通のマンガに見られるような、成り行きや先の展開を感じさせるエピソード、各キャラクタによって語られる台詞は、普通のマンガでは当たり前の感覚ですが、BLAME!と比べるならば、比較できないくらいの親切設計です。

前巻からの続きを待望している人たちは当然として、これから弐瓶勉作品に触れてみようかと言う人には、このシリーズが一番お勧めなのかもしれません。

読者との二人三脚的なペースで内容が進展する漫画ばかりの現代漫画界ですが、
ここまで作者の脳内妄想の世界をフルスロットルで出力している漫画は初めて見ました。凄まじいスピードで読者を突き放します。

まず、二瓶勉の漫画が異質なところは、他の一般的な漫画の場合、漫画の雰囲気・空気を表現するのに
コマ割りを工夫して表現するものだが、彼は それ を１コマ内で表現してしまう。
代わりに工夫するのが、１コマを限界まで描き込む ということ。
その細部まで、丁寧に妄想された世界をじっくり見入ることにより、読者は彼の漫画の持つ独特な雰囲気や空気を感じることができるのである。
事実、単行本１冊の内容が非常に濃いし、パラパラと飛ばし読みをしてみると、展開がさっぱり理解できない。
コマ割りの達人・浦沢直樹の大局的な存在かもしれない。　実に巧妙である。

二瓶勉は、もっともっと評価されるべきアーティストである。

ヤンマガ版BIOMEGAの最後のページのキャラクターの後姿を見てから約2年･･･待って損はなかった(　；∀；)
UJ連載当初、「画が薄くなったなぁ。」と、ちょっとがっかりしましたがそこは弐瓶勉、しっかりと今回の単行本では加筆されています。満足ですｗ

しかし、今回の表紙は物足りないかなぁと。これはこれで好きなんですが、ヤンマガBIOMEGAの表紙と比べるともっと書き込んでもいいかなぁ。
