説明する必要があったのか、なかったのか不明だけど、とにかくこれで話はつながった。
おそらく、話をさらに大きく飛躍させるための、土台のような存在が8巻・9巻だったと思う。
単純な面白さは以前の巻よりも正直低い。けど、SFとしての奥行きを感じさせる巻なので、これはこれでいいと思う。
この作家はさらに違った世界へ進もうとしている予感がする。

次の巻以降がこのストーリーの分かれ道。
本当に面白くなるかどうかが楽しみ。

銃夢世界がどのような歴史を経てきたのか、紀元からの三分の一までが描かれている。今の世界はこんな風にできてきたのかー、とミッシングリンクが繋がる感じ。

サイボーグvsサイボーグの戦いが多い中、凄く強ーい生身の生き物同士の戦いってのも珍しいし面白い。あと、カエルラさんがいなかったら、中国拳法って伝承が途絶えていたのかなーと思うぐらい、カエルラさんは凄い。

ずっと銃夢ファンだが、ある意味、単行本の最高傑作。
豪快で、
クールで、
混沌の中に見る強靭な感情の渦があいまって、
とても美しく、そして悲しい、きわめて印象深い物語となっっている。

この著者のすごいところは、
単行本の「きり」の良さ。

ラストの、年老いたアーサーが若きハルカを思い出しながら眠りに付くシーンの「静」の描き方は、それまでの「圧倒的な動」と見事な対比を織り成して、芸術的ですらあると思う。

おすすめです。
