戦闘地域は池袋
今回の宇宙人は鬼星人
星人の姿は一般人にも見える模様
ヴァンパイアとも接点があるようで友好的な感じだ
鬼星人もケイタイでクロノ達の居場所や情報を持っていた
数もバカ多いだけでなく数人の強いヤツも存在
炎使いに苦戦する超能力コンビ
クロノ達の仲間の姿に変身し近づく鬼星人
タケシと筋肉ライダーの近づく仲
今回のミッションも苦戦必死だ
数も多くボスクラスの強い星人との戦い
星人の新たな能力
クロノ達のコンビネーションにも磨きがかかってきた
強いチカラのガチンコの勝負は読むだけで疲れるほどの面白さ

読者のこうなってほしいとか、あのキャラは死んでほしくないとか、そんな希望は一切受け付けないガンツ。
かと思えばこりゃあのキャラ死ぬなと思ったら、圧勝したり、、、、
まったく予想が付かないのは本当に凄いです。
とくに１７巻はそういった展開が多いかな？
今回のミッションは仏像編で全滅した時の匂いを感じさせつつ、実は？
てな感じでドキドキしますが、やっぱりあのキャラの死は納得できないなあ~

内容は何も知らずに読むのが一番おもしろいのがGANTZなので話については何も言いません。しかし巻末でも少しふれられていますが、今回の巻は圧倒的です。何がすごいかというと今作は大規模な市街戦が繰り広げられます。そこで背景と人物の位置関係に注目してください。
こんなにも細かく作られているのか・・と驚くと思います。実写をデフォルメ（私としては最初の頃はソニーなど社名や店名を実名で出していたのに今は町などでパロディ店名が使われているのが残念です。建物がうかつに爆破できないなどの問題点があったのかもしれませんがリアルさがちょっと失われたかなと感じます。）したり忠実に書かれた道を行き交う人々、建物の立体的奥行き、コマごとの物体の動きと位置の断絶のなさ（例えば今までのマンガだと道ばたに空き缶が落ちていたとすると、同じ場所が別のコマで描かれているのに空き缶が消えていたり位置がおかしくなっていたりとかしていたがGANTZでは基本的に草案を時間と手間をかけて３Dで処理しているのでそれが起こらない。）、そのリアルさはまさに映画です。このGANTZは世界で最初の本格的３Dマンガと言えるかもしれません。特に１７巻はこれまでよりその点が強調できると思います。私ならこの巻に１０００円出しても惜しくは無いです。

個人的に作者がレイカを特別待遇しすぎていて（扉絵がほとんどレイカだったり）少し無機質な感じが無くなってしまうのでは？と感じています。酷いことを言いますがそろそろレイカも冷酷なまでに客観的に、初期のGANTZの様な殺し方をすべきなのでは？と感じています。そうしないとGANTZがGANTZで無くなってしまう気がして仕方ありません。
