5.0 out of 5 stars ありそうで無かった感じの漫画, 2008/3/8
ネタバレになるだろうから内容にはあまり詳しく触れません。

非常に面白いです。単純なバトルものでは無く
不思議な少年神崎人（カンザキ ジン）の成長過程を描いた漫画です
熱いだけでなく泣けます。それと表情豊かで魅力的な絵が何と言っても素晴らしい
主人公の年齢が変わっていく漫画も個人的に好きですね

ただし、全体として難癖を付けさせてもらうと・・・
解説不足や何が起こったか説明しないまま他の話に移ったりしてしまうため
長い巻数をモヤモヤした状態で読み進めないといけません。
ようやく大半がすっきりしていざ物語のスタートという印象を受けるのが
７、８巻辺りからです。物語の序章がかなり長く続くと考えた方がいい。

ドラゴンボールなら玉を集める、スラムダンクなら全国制覇目指す、
こういった大筋の目的の過程で何やかんや起こるという感じが普通の漫画ですが
ZETMANはこの大筋の目的がなっかなか決まらない。
けれど、行き当たりばったりで書いてるという感じではありません。
おそらく構想はもう出来上がってるのかと。

１、２巻は次を読まずにはいられない終わり方ですしオススメなので☆５つ。
ここからやや失速してしまい読者を置いてきぼりにしてしまう印象を受けますが
1〜2巻が面白かったと思えた人はぜひ現在出てる８巻まで読み進んで欲しいです。

今までの桂正和とは少し違ったダークなタッチのマンガ。
本当の「正義」とはいったい何か。
飾りだけの名誉が正義なのだろうか。

これまで、愛や命の表現として「電影少女」を生み出し
揺れ動く恋を描くべく「I"s」を生み出し。

そして、今回の作品は「ウィングマン」や「D.N.A2」で育んできた「正義」の思想を完全にする物がこの「Z-MAN」だと思えて仕方がありません。

桂正和さんの作品は女性キャラが絶大な人気を呼んでるし
正直、桂さん自身も作画レベルがどんどん上達したのも
女性キャラへの愛情への傾きをひしひしと実感してました。

今回のZETMANは、先生の出世作といえばウイングマンに
通じる変身ヒーロー系でもあると同時に、デビルマン等の
善悪の表裏一体な、曖昧で狂おしい現実社会を描写した

作風でもあり、正直、読んでいて辛くなるほどでした。

それでも、個人的に今回の作品で嬉しかったのは
少年の心理を丁寧に描き、変に美形にすることもなく
主人公としての個性、存在感をきちんと確立してくれた事です。

今更ですが電影少女の第２部が、今１つ支持されずに中途で
終わったしまったものの、私は第２部が、ビデオガールは

あくまで付属で、少年を主役として丁寧に描こうとしていた
だけに、尚更残念で悔しかっただけに、数年ぶりに、あの頃の
主人公像に近い、少年を見れてなんとなく嬉しかったです。

桂さんご自身の公式サイトにおいて、最近は体調などの問題で
なかなか漫画を描く事ができないとコメントされていて心配
でたまらないですが、どうか頑張ってください・・。
