１〜３巻まで購入しつつも、なんとなく読む気にならずに本棚に飾っていましたが、今日唐突に読む気になり、読みました。なんとなく「若い天才二人がタッグを組んでとんとん拍子に漫画業界を席巻」という内容だと思い込んでいたのがぜんぜん違っててビックリしました（；^ω^）。
私は子供の頃から漫画家を目指し、とりあえずそれなりの賞を受賞してデビューしたものの、鳴かず飛ばずで結局ポシャッた人間です。当時この漫画があったらなぁと思わずにいられませんでした。
色々な意味で…！
それくらい現実感のある内容です。
投稿時代の彼らと編者さんとのやりとりなんかはまさに誇張ナシ！
自分の事情はさておくとして、色々な葛藤を味わいながら成長していくキャラクター達に好感を覚えます。天才漫画家新妻エイジは最初は嫌な奴なのかなーと思ったら天才肌のよくわかんない人で魅力的！高木や真城にも頑張って欲しいし、年下の漫画家さんのアシをした事のある私には、なにより中井さんが身につまされました。中井さんガンバレ！
今後が楽しみです。

この巻ではいよいよ主人公コンビ、サイコーとシュージンが天才高校生漫画家新妻エイジと遭遇します。
努力に努力を重ねるサイコーとシュージンに対し、
感覚と直感で作品を生み出す新妻エイジ。
まさに正反対の二組。
この新妻エイジが面白い。
全く何も考えずに物語作りやキャラ設定をしては担当編集を困らせ、
描いてる途中は常に音楽を大音量でかけて、
作中の擬音を大声で叫びまくる。
そのくせ気に入った作品の作者（例えば主人公コンビ）には
年下でも「先生」と呼ぶことを躊躇しない。
決して世間一般の想像する漫画家のイメージとは相容れないこの独特の人物設定。
あれ、この感覚、何年も前にも味わった覚えがあるぞ？
そうだ、岸部露伴だ！
傲岸不遜を絵に描いたような性格の癖に、
「読んでもらう事」には何より謙虚で貪欲な彼。
彼もそれまでの漫画家のイメージを根底から覆した存在だった。
そう、新妻エイジも新世代の新たな漫画家像を提示しているのだ。
現在連載では他にも好敵手となる漫画家がどんどん出てきて、
物語はどんどん面白くなってきている。
サイコーの愛は成就するのか?!
主人公コンビの行く末は?!
前例のない内部事情暴露漫画の今後の展開は?!
目の離せない第３巻です。

第３巻。
いよいよこのマンガの真の姿が明らかになります。
このマンガの開始当初、２人の作者をモデルにしたような主人公たちと、ガモウひろしをモデルにしたような死んだ叔父さんというキャラから、半フィクションの現代版まんが道をやろうとしているのだと多くの人が思ったはずです。
かくいう自分もそうでした。

ところが、前巻の終わりあたりから全く異なる真の姿が見えてきます。
「友情・努力・勝利」かつて少年ジャンプが掲げた王道少年マンガの３大テーマ。
これを素のまま、マンガ家を主人公にして取り込んだマンガ。
それが本作の真の姿です。

１巻で叩かれた女性蔑視とも取れる台詞も、ここまで読めば女性と付き合ったことの無い、未熟な中学生男子のキャラクター表現であったことが理解できます。
オタク蔑視とも取れる態度も、マスターゲットを相手取る少年ジャンプにおいて、むしろ媚びないことの誇りであることが理解できます。
うがった見方をするならば、露悪的に最初にそれをキャラクターに言わせることで、読者を選別したのかも知れないとも取れてしまう……

純粋に少年マンガとして。
また、マンガ家に憧れる少年には、ジャンプのシステム解説書としても、楽しんで読むのが一番！
