東京都の郊外都市にある空座町というところで町中でたくさんの人が倒れているのが発見されました。
倒れている人たちはいずれも既に死亡しており、警察と公安は、事故、殺人、テロの可能性の面で捜査をしております。

ヤミーが現世の大勢の人間の魂を吸い取って食べちゃったこの出来事、一護たち以外の何も知らない現世の人々はそういう反応をしているんだろうなと描いてみました。

ほかの漫画や小説だと、こういう場面の状況経過やその後の周りの世界の反応、作品世界で何が起きているかという事で、主人公たちの動向のほかにバックグラウンドでもきちっと描いているもんなんだけど、この作品はそこが全くないね。
ひたすら一護たちばっかし。

そういう作品の姿勢は否定はしないけど、でも空座町が霊的特異点という作品の世界でとても重要な要素として設定している部分がとても説得力のないものになってしまうんだけど。

人が死ぬという重大で恐ろしい事をさらりと描いて、しかもその事に何の意味も持たせずシカトしてそのままというのを気持ち悪いと思うのは俺だけですか？

でもこの作品が6巻ぐらいまでの死神代行編の作風で続いていたなら、戦いの巻き添えを食った人に対しても憐れみとか怒りとか恐怖とかを示す描写はきっちり描いていただろうなと想像してみる。

今回は、尸魂界から隊長格のあの人をはじめ副隊長格のあの人達がやってきます!
そして、その中には一護のよく知っている顔も…。
といった感じの22巻です!

ウルキオラ達の初登場シーンがあります。
これは凄く面白くワクワクしました。
まさに新展開です、これからが非常に気になります。
とにかくアランカル達が強いです、ダントツな強さです。
それに隊長達が一護達の世界に来るなど、
新展開はてんこ盛りでした。
