JFAT(ジャンプ･フェスタ･アニメ･ツアー)でのアニメ上映が決まってから初めての単行本。
それをきっかけに今まで注目してなかった人も、この第８巻から買い始めようとする人がいるはずですが、
ハッキリ言ってそれはオススメできないですね。
それは、この巻が第７巻の後半からスタートした長編の中盤からスタートしている点と、
また第９巻へと続く別の長編がこの巻の結びとなるので、
この独特の世界観を知っていなければ初めての読者には多少敷居が高く感じられる点からです。

なので、これから読み始める人ならせめて第１巻ぐらいは読んでおくことを勧めたい。

しかし、このシリーズのいくらかを見たことがある人であれば手放しでオススメできます。

銀さんの時折光るカッコ良さ、随所に散りばめられたギャグはそのまま。つまり最高水準。
さらに今回は神楽のパピーや、長谷川、松平のおっさんなど、
全体的におっさんの登場が多いのも特徴ですね。
「少年誌でこれかよ」と思わせるぐらいのおっさん含有率の高さにびっくり。
あとこの巻から急に神楽の表情が豊かになりはじめました。かなり泣いてる。

「違ーよ
　アイツは もっとこう
　謙虚な奴だったよ」

しまった…「銀魂」で号泣しちゃったよ…。だって第六十三訓の最後の方の銀さん、凄くさみしそうじゃん。銀さんは親はいないんだろうか。なんだか妙に胸にグッと来る話でした。次の六十四訓は爆笑。

　私は『銀魂』の中でもこの第八巻が一番良いと思う。まさに絶好調である。笑えるだけではなくて、神楽の手紙には泣ける。この作者はすばらしい才能を持っている。
