前巻のしっとりした終わり方とは裏腹に、いきなりコミカルな始まりです。
基本のテーマが暗めなようですし、こういうギャグが入ってくると救われますね。
アレンとリーバー班長の会話がテンポ良くて◎。
そして彼女はやはりエクソシストでした。（約２名に該当します。）

この巻では、ミランダさんの回想と現在の感情との行き来が
感情移入しやすく、とても魅せられます。

この作者はキャラクターの立て方がとにかく上手いと思います。それぞれがめいっぱい動けているのと、
発言などに違和感(例：このキャラはこんな台詞言わないでしょ・・的な)が無いです。新人さんの作品を見ているとそういう不自然さが
でていることが少なくないので、そんな点でもかなり素晴らしいと思います。

そしてやはり白黒の使い方が巧い。WJ歴代作品の中でも小畑先生に続いて群を抜いていると思います。
星野先生は原作付きではないのでかなり大変でしょうが、話自体や世界観など、作画以外でも原作付きにするにはもったいない魅力を持っているし、(原作付き作品を否定しているわけでは
ありません)　是非これからもこのクオリティーを維持していって欲しいです。

この漫画はジャンプで連載している作品の中では上級の質を保った作品だと私は思います。実際、私もやるなら少年サンデーかアフタヌーン辺りで連載するのが似合うとも思っていますし。しかし、古き良き少年漫画を保守するのがジャンプの役目だなんて言っていたら、ジャンプの読者離れなんて止めようもないと思います。読者はすでに10代前半の子供たちから、社会人を中心とした層に移っているのは間違いないですからね。いつまでも子供だましの漫画で読者を確保できるなんて、文字通りの夢の話でしょう。

作品の評価としては星4つを付けたいと思います。
ジャンプを立ち読みでなく、購入させる気にさせる唯一の作品なので心情的には5つ付けたいのですが、この3巻はヒロイン・リナリーの活躍のさせ方と、主人公との絡ませ方が安直だったのでこの数にします。
……いろいろ語ってしまったけど、巻を追うごとに目を瞠る成長を見せる描写力、面白みを増していくストーリー展開など、初めての連載作品としては十分すぎると思うんですけどね。発売部数の驕りに負けず、編集部の金儲け主義に作品で語りたいことを見失わずに、これからも頑張っていっていただきたいと思います。

ここにきて、物語に大きな変化が生まれます。表紙の女の子リナリーと一緒に主人公が行く、『時間が巻き戻る街』が、舞台になっています。１０月９日を何度も何度も繰り返す街の調査が、今回の任務です。
　ここで、新たなキャラクター、ミス・ミランダが登場します。何をやっても失敗する不幸女、というかわいそうな設定ですが、彼女が今回の事件に大いに関係しています。生きる事につかれた彼女の成長も、見ものです。
　さて、それよりも大きな変化がこの巻には用意されています。いままで千年伯爵だけだと思っていた敵に、あらたな種類が加わります。その一人に攻撃される主人公たち。ただアクマを破壊していくだけの流れが、一変して、いかにも戦争、戦いっという感じが出てきます。
　キャラの描き方がとても丁寧な作者さん。絵だけでなく、そのキャラの心のうちまで寄せた構成が、なんとも感動的な最後を演出させます。
　あまり話してしまうとアレですので、どうぞ、手にとって見てください。絶対お勧めです。
