前巻、ナルトを庇い倒れたサスケを目の前にして、
ナルトの中に眠る本当の力が覚醒します。
サスケを助けたい。守りたい。死なせたくない。
その思いだけで動くナルト。
今までの比ではないその動きに、敵の術もまるで歯が立たず。
あっという間に追い詰めていくナルト。

しかしその素顔を見たナルトは、初めて忍と云うものの
辛さ、苦しさ、切なさを思い知る事になる。
ナルトの考えていた忍道とはかけ離れたその世界。
忍として、自分の存在理由を求めずに道具として生きる。
そのあまりの惨さに落胆しながらも、大きな決意を胸に刻む。
自分なりの生き方を、自分の忍道を貫く。
そう言ってまた一歩、大きくナルトが成長を遂げる重要な巻。

後半は中忍試験の話がスタートします。

久しぶりに少年漫画を読みましたが、面白いです。３巻で倒れたサスケがどうなるのか？カカシ先生は再不斬に勝てるのか？九尾の封印がどうなってしまうのか？などなど、気になるところは満載ですが、一番の見所は、この戦いのラストです！！涙なしに読むことができませんでした。この巻が、一番泣けました。白の思いはもちろん、再不斬の思いにも泣かせられました。再不斬を相当ひどい奴と、心から思っていたのに、この４巻を読んだら好きになりました。忍者がかっこいいだけではなく、苦悩を抱えているということを、白と再不斬から、思い知らされます。ナルト達が、この戦いで忍として成長したこともみてとれて良いです。１~３巻に続けて読まれることをオススメします。

ホント泣けたよ。波の国編は､涙涙涙！！！久しぶりにマンガで泣いたこんなにマンガの事でいろいろ考えたのはもしかしたら初めてカモ。この、波の国編はNARTOで一番好き。再不斬が！！白が！！ナルトが！！サスケくんが！！アクションシーンも最高ですよ☆絶対お勧めできるマンガです。再不斬が好きになった(驚)！！！
