感動のマンガの第１巻です。
このマンガのタイトルは、「ホイッスル！」。
サッカーには、よく、ホイッスルが使われます。サッカーにっとて、ホイッスルは、なくてはならない存在です。
そのホイッスルを、タイトルがなっているこのマンガは、読む前と読んだ後では、必ず何かが変わります。
まず、少しでもサッカーが好きになります。
テレビで見たり、スタジアムで観たくなると思います。
次に、「がんばろう」と思える時が多くなります。
これは、主人公・風祭将のおかげ。がんばれば、必ず結果がついてくること、
１人じゃなにもできないこと。
その、当たり前だけど忘れかけている大事なことを、サッカーを通して伝わってきます。
とっても大事なチームメイトと出逢った風祭将の新しい１歩を踏み出す、「ホイッスル！」１巻。
苦しいとき、つらい時、楽しいとき、友達とけんかしたとき。
読んでみると、大事なことがわかるかもしれません。

諦めない！
頑張る！

当たり前のことですが、意外に成し遂げるのが難しいことです！
自分も物事を頑張りますが、どこかでまだやれるのに、自分に負けてしまってる自分を感じます。
そんなちょっと頑張れなくなったり、妙にやる気が無くなった時に、この本を読みます！

サッカーが下手だけど、諦めないで上手くなろうと一生懸命努力する主人公。
その主人公の頑張る姿に、周りも感化されていく。
「あいつの頑張ってる姿を見ると、俺もまだ頑張らなきゃいけないなって思うんだ」
自分もそう思って読んでます！！

この漫画はサッカー漫画というよりは、サッカーを通じての１人の男の子の漫画です！！

どんなにドロだらけになっても、どんなに絶望的な状況でも、仲間を信じ、自分を信じ、諦めないで頑張り続ける姿勢に、自分は涙しました…

青臭い感じではありますが、元気が出る漫画です！！

「ホイッスル！」は１９９８年から週刊少年ジャンプに連載されたサッカー漫画です。タイプとしてはかなり昔にジャンプに連載された「キャプテン」という野球漫画のサッカー版といった感じです。サッカーはうまくないが、努力はおしまない主人公が様々な友人、選手と出会い、努力を重ねるすえに精神的にも、サッカー選手としても成長していくさまを追った少年漫画らしい安心できる漫画。その本巻。サッカーの名門校武蔵森学園で３軍だった風祭将は、サッカーを続けるために桜上水中に転校する。武蔵森レギュラーと誤解され、大ハジをかいた将。夢を諦めないために、一人猛練習を開始する
