かなりコマが書き込まれた、高橋由香里さんのライフワークといえる作品。細かく書き込んであるので読むととにかくお得感がある！本も大きいし。何度繰り返して読んでもそのたびに小さな新しい発見がある。トルコの料理の簡単な作り方ものっていて、このとおりやると本当にできる！（ただしごく素朴な味の家庭料理だが・・当たり前か）　この漫画の一巻から何度も読むと、最初はトルコという異国で新鮮な驚きを感じていた作者がトルコ嫁となってだんだんトルコにリアルになじんでいく様子がわかって楽しい。4巻や3巻に、1巻当時の裏話めいたものが載っていたり、同じ人物の「10年後」がでてきたりするのも楽しい。おすすめ漫画です。

この漫画にはまってしまい、いつかトルコに行ってみたい！
と思うようになりました。
文化の違いやおいしそうな、聞いたこともないようなご馳走、
素朴なエピソードなど、
現地に暮らしているからこそ描ける話がとてもおもしろい！
作者がトルコを愛してるんだなあ、と感じられます。
この漫画のように、簡単に、かわいらしく、でも愛情あふれた形で
国際交流がされると、世界は平和になりますよね。
大切に秘密にとっておきたいような、
みんなに読んでもらいたいような
不思議な本です。
おすすめします！

何度もトルコに行く機会はあるものの、常に旅行者として・・・。
しかし、そのたびにこのシリーズ本を読み返してイメージア〜ップしていきます。
思わぬ光景にぶつかり・・・たとえは、ものすごくおしゃれしている男の子に遭遇。
「おお〜これが、割礼の衣装とその家族なのね〜！あんたはエライ！」
とか、ある広場で羊をほふっている光景をみると、「おお〜これが、犠牲祭なるものなのね〜
皆でわけあって食べるのね」などなど・・・旅行といえどいろいろな場面にぶつかり、
ガイドさんの説明もますます深く理解できる次第。
トルコ語はもちろんわからないけれど、この本の中の単語が記憶の奥からよみがえり
「変なトルコ語しっているねぇ」にも、なる。
最近はトルコのガイドさんも日本語の本に詳しく、「う〜ん、ホントはちょっと違う・・・とか、家によるとか、地方によるとか・・・」の意見も聞けてそれは、それで楽しい。
てな具合で、お勧めの本です。
