さて、早いものでこの作品も12巻目になりました。エピソードごとに登場してくるお酒とカクテルの絶妙のコンビネーション。そして、それをお酒を介した人間模様を細かく描写していることがこの作品の秀逸たる所以でしょう。様々な人間模様を癒やすバーテンダー佐々倉溜とその仲間たちが時にシリアスに時にはコミカルに描かれているところは読む側にとって非常にテンポがあって良い感じに読めます。同じ作者のワインを題材にした作品に比べれば雲泥の差です。大人の複雑な人間模様。そして、その人間模様の場所に決して出しゃばらず、けど、ちょっとお節介なバーテンダーの作品はこれしかありません。毎巻描かれているお酒のラベルはPippermint Getです。

とても残念な事に、ホテル・カーディナル編になってからは、
「お酒が何でも解決してくれる」みたいな、
胡散臭い説教漫画になり下がってましたが、12巻から少々持ち直したようです。
どんなお酒にも作り手の想い、ドラマがあるのは結構だけど
それを「だからすごいんだぞ」と言わんばかりに説教に使うようでは、
某マンガのセリフをお借りして「ちょっとイラつく語り野郎」にしか
見えなくなってしまい、最初が本当に面白かった、奥深い話が多かっただけに
とても残念で仕方がありません。
大人としてこれくらいは知っていて当たり前、みたいなストーリー展開も
違和感を覚えるようになってしまいました。
（何でその歳でそんな事さも当たり前のように知ってるんだ？と思う事が…）
自分の中では、これ以上変にいじらず、すっぱりとカッコいい形と思える形で
なるべく早めに完結してくれる事を祈りたくなる作品になってしまいました。
