ガンビットやライセンス、ミストナックの仕組みがよく理解できなかったので購入してみました。
感想は、タイトルの通り初心者にはありがたい本になると思います。　新しくなったシステムの事が詳しく載っているし、今回のFFはたくさんの人物が登場して頭がパニックになっていたのですが、登場人物の相関図が載っていて頭の中が整理できました。
また、マップ攻略は中盤までの攻略しか載っていませんが、「要注意モンスター」や「攻略のポイント」、「ショップ情報」や「ボスを倒すためのヒント」などが書かれていて便利だと思います。　中盤までしか攻略は書かれていなくても、この攻略本でシステムを理解しながらストーリーを進めていけば、ヒントがなくてもクリアしていけるかもしれません。
「モンスターデータ」にモンスター数が少ないのと、もう少し「アイテムデータ」が見やすければ良かったなと思うし、ボリュームも少し物足りないような気がしたので星3つにしました。

どのページも大きく写真を使って紹介されているので
まだＦＦ１２をプレイした事がない方には、購入するかの
いい判断材料になるかと思います。

登場する種族や町の説明もキャラクターの写真付きで
解説されているので、既にプレイされている方でも
復習するという意味でもいいのでは。

実際はゲームをするより、事前にこれを読んでいた時の方が
ＦＦ１２の世界を楽しめた、という方が多いのは秘密です＾＾；

情報量が少ないので、攻略本としては機能しません。
あくまでゲーム発売前の、基本的な情報のみですので
購入の際は気を付けて下さいね。

ライセンスのしくみやバトル、ガンビット等のシステムは、この攻略本で理解出来ました。
マップやモンスターデータも、（一応）載ってます。
でも、マップに宝箱（トレジャー、トレジャーポット）の位置が載ってない！
アイテム一覧というページが有り、武器、防具、アクセサリ等の簡単な解説や入手場所が書かれてはいますが（ショップの場所等はマップに書かれています）、細かい場所は分からない為、自分で探すしかないので取りこぼす可能性有り。
飛空艇CGコレクションとかも載ってますが、そんな情報よりも、もっと必要な情報を細かく載せて欲しかった。
まぁ、ゲーム発売日と同日発売の最速攻略本なので、攻略情報が少ないのは仕方がないんでしょうか...？
ゲームを始める為に、とりあえずシステムを理解したい人には良いかもしれませんが、攻略を重視するなら、やはりアルティマニアのような「コンプリートガイド」が発売されるまで待った方が良いと思います。
とにかく...この攻略本は、情報量が少ないのと、中盤までの攻略情報（中盤以降のエリアガイドは載っています。マップ無し）なので、★3つとしました。
