ヨカッタ。
「生きる」ってことがこの作者のライフテーマなんだろうなと。
作品を振りかえってみると全部「生きる」って話なのに驚いた。

テーマとしてはごくごくありふれたもので、
この時代にそういう青臭いメッセージはどうかとも思うけど、
この作者の場合、単なる楽観主義でもなく、シニシズムでもなく、
残酷さをもって静かに書ききってしまうところがすごい。そして面白い。
だから許せる。

気になったのは各章のタイトル。
天体のヨールはどうなんだと思う。
でも、お話としては一番好き。
だから許せる。

あと、登場する女性がみな度量が大きいというか
ちょっと現実離れしてる感じはした。
でもみんな斉藤和義のいくつかの曲に出てきそうな感じで魅力的。
だから許せる。

今回の物語は
３年後に小惑星が地球にぶつかり、世界が終わる...
そしてそれまでを誰とどう過ごすのか？仙台のヒルズタウンという
マンションに住む人々を中心に描かれている短編集。

正直に言うと、伊坂氏の今までの小説の中で一番、読み終わるのに
時間を要した本です。それはどういうことなのか？
短編集ということも理由になるのでしょうが、
「次が読みたいわくわく感」が感じられず、
ページをめくる手が進まなかったということです。
良くも悪くも優等生的な作品に感じられました。
平均点以上は確実に取っているけれど面白みに欠けていて
個人的にはあまり楽しめませんでした。

どうせならもっと現実離れしたものにしてほしかったなあ...。
エラソーな事を言わせてもらえば
これで直木賞はとって欲しくないです。
なんかもっとこう、パンチの効いた疾走感のある伊坂ワールドが読みたいのです。

次回作に期待します！

伊坂幸太郎氏の著書として初めて手に取りましたが、傑作です！
小惑星衝突を３年後に控えて、という状況設定にはムリがあるかも
しれませんが、だからこそ“人がなぜ生きるのかどう生きるのか”
ということを不純物を排除して考えることが出来るのかと思います。
家族を持つ身だからこそ個人的にグッとくるものがあったかもしれ
ませんが、小惑星衝突という背景に変に捉われずに読み進めること
が出来ましたし、読後は心温まるものがありました。
著者の作品を次も次も読んでみたい！と思います。
