小学校なら花丸が付けられるような。
とっても読みやすいし、話のテンポもよく、読み終わって、ほっこりする感じの小説です。

大学時代に知り合った、身長170以上の大女「ひとみ」と、ちびでぶの「あかこ」。突然即興で歌いだす、「あかこ」にいきなり次をふられ、つい歌ってしまう「ひとみ」

お笑いコンビとしてのお互いの相性にめざめ、泣いたり笑ったりしながら、なにより舞台を大切にする漫才師をめざします。

特に、大学を卒業した後、おしゃれな青山とは名ばかりの、小さな会社の事務所で、嫌な上司や同僚に囲まれ、なんとなく毎日を送っている「ひとみ」に「あかこ」が、漫才をやろうと言ってきたときの描写は、うなずくOLさんがたくさんいるでしょう。

このままいれば、そこそこお給料も貰え、プロポーズしてくれる人もないわけじゃないから、そのうち結婚して子供を産む人生。
「安心そうだけど、それは私の人生じゃない」と、ひとみは漫才師をめざす決心をします。

でも、それは実際は、ほんとなかなかできないことだよね。

なにが自分の人生かって若い頃から、見つけられる人ってすごく数少ないと思う。たいていのひとは、廻り道したり、後戻りしたり。
目標があってそれに向かってがむしゃらに頑張れるそのことじたいが、素晴らしいことなんだけど。
漫才師って職業と、かけがえのない相棒と。
羨ましいです。

すばる新人賞受賞作。笑いありホロリあり、そして友情！

女性は２０代後半になると、いろいろと考えちゃうんですよね。
仕事、結婚、夢、恋愛、将来…
お笑いやって、なぁーんにも考えていないようでも、いろいろあるんです。
そういったことをさらりと、明るく語ってくれています。
ヒトミとアカコ・・・心から応援したくなりました。

テンポもよくおもしろかったですよ！

スカッとした涙と笑いアリの青春小説。
若手お笑い芸人がまた、ゲンキなこのごろ、
まさに旬な小説ではないでしょうか。
これをウマイと味合えるのは現在、夢に向かって
努力している若い人たちかもしれませんね。
ウツウツ気分のあなた、ぜひ、手にとって
