それぞれの登場人物に共感できる部分と共感できない部分があって、本当に人間らしいなと思う。男と女の話というより、それぞれの女の登場人物の心の動き、女と女の関係が的確に表現されているのが面白かった。江国さんの本は全部読んでいるけれど、この本は自分の中で１、２位を争うぐらい好きです。

I read the novel in chinese translation.I love her work<twinkle> a lot,but this time Ekuni seem to be too calculated.She know the form will attract most of the targeted middle class female reader.though it look like portraying the normal life,actually that's another of fantasy---to be honest,it's a waste os talent for Ekuni.

江國作品の中では一番のおすすめ本です。

ほぼすべての江國作品を読んでいるわりに
今まではどこか共感出来ずに「ふーん、そんなものかなぁ･･･」という程度に読み流していたのですが
この作品は登場人物すべてに激しく共感出来てしまう自分がいました。

何ひとつ不自由のない専業主婦生活を送る陶子、編集の仕事を颯爽とこなすキャリアウーマンですべてを手に入れているかのように見えるれいこ、独立してフラワーショップを経営するエミ子の三人が中心となって物語は進みますが、この中の誰一人として満ち足りてはいないところが江國作品らしいところ。

この本を読むと結婚は決してゴールではなく、恋も決して幸せなものではなく、むしろ痛ましいだけのものなのではないか･･･という気さえしてきます。
それでもなお、人は前を向いて恋をするし、そういった人の”勇ましさ”や江國さんからのエールのようなものまで感じます。

他にも沢山の人物が登場しますが、その一人一人がとてもいとおしく感じられるから不思議です。

決してハッピーエンドではありませんが、なぜか爽やかな読後感が残ります。
