心の温まる短編集。
「永遠の仔」や「家族狩り」のような「事件」があるわけではない。しかし、作品の根底に流れるメッセージはすべての作品に共通している。
おすすめできる作品である。

　いろいろな意味で疲れた人にお勧めの一冊。
　この本の４つの物語は心を締めつけられるような、辛く悲しい出来事があふれています。その中からすこすづづでも前に進もうとする人達の物語に、胸が熱くなる想いです。なかでも「やすらぎの香り」はとても衝撃を受けました。こういった物語を読むと、いかに自分が自分本位で世の中を見ているかが問われているような気がしました。必至に前に進もうとする二人の物語に心が洗われるようでした。
　しかし、本当に天童荒太さんは人間の心理の表現がうまいですね。人間の繊細さがとても解りやすく、読みやすく、で下手な専門書よりはよほど心のケアに向いているのではないかと思います。
　読み終わった後には、ほんのちょっと優しい人間になれるような心地よさが胸に広がりました。人間、別に弱くっても良い。自分なりにがんばって生きていけば良いのだから。そんな元気を与えてくれる本です。

表題のとおり、人間への愛にあふれた短編集です。最初私は友人から借りて読みましたが、どうしてももう一度読みたくなり購入しました。とくに作者は精神障害者に対する考察にすぐれていて、この短編集でも「うつろな恋人」という傑作を書いています。
