　詩人・伊藤比呂美の記念碑的育児エッセイ。80年代半ばから90年代前半にかけ、育児雑誌『プチタンファン』読者の圧倒的な支持を受けた連載に若干加筆し単行本化したもの。妊娠から出産まで、のちに続く『おなか　ほっぺ　おしり』シリーズの原点である。「ゆびのほねもしっかりかんじて」という鋭敏な感覚を備えた詩人である伊藤氏の痛快な文章とイラストは、妊娠の予定があるあなたもそうでないあなたも楽しめること必至。ブルーな気分も、パンキッシュな筆者の姿勢によって雲散霧消。女性だけでなく、男性もピーコも、ぜひ。

育児真っ最中の私にとって、共感できる部分がたくさんある本でした。一人目の子供には、神経質になりがちですが、心をおおらかに子供とまっすぐ向き合っていれば、少々の手抜きはなんのその・・・・・。妊娠、出産、育児と何者にもかえがたい貴重な経験を、うそいつわりなく楽しく書いている本でした。一気に読みきれる、楽しい本です。

伊藤比呂美さんの、きれいごとなし・現実むきだしのマタニティライフがとってもたくましく魅力的です。妊娠して鬱々しているときに読むのはおすすめ。「胎児はウンコである」などの名言・珍言に心はいつしかなごみます。また学習意欲旺盛な著者による、書評コーナーはたいへん参考になります。これを機に自分らしい妊娠・育児の世界を追究するのもよいのではないでしょうか。
