谷川俊太郎の詩選集はいくつか出ていますが、これは2005年最新版であると同時に、デビューから順に収録されているという画期的なものだと思います。
こうやってみると谷川俊太郎にも若い時があり、そんな時から言葉に対してこんなに敏感な人だったのだということがよくわかります。
詩は、１つ１つの作品として楽しむという方法もあるでしょうが、このように何作品も集められて読むという楽しみもあります。そして、このように年代順に並べられると、そこに変化を見て取ることができます。
今尚変化し続ける谷川俊太郎ですが、振り返ってみるのもまた楽しいものです。

全三巻。一度はどこかで目にしたことがあるであろう日本一有名な詩人、
谷川俊太郎の詩を歴史順に編者が選りすぐって並べている。
小説にするには長さが足りなくて、俳句にするには短すぎる日々の
つれづれの気持ちを軽やかなリズムで描いている。

目で単純に書かれている字の連なりを追いかける、または眺める、といった
それだけの行為が、一枚の絵を見ているかのように楽しくすごせてしまう。
ひとことに含まれる詩情ってこういうことを言うのだろうか。
何か、恥ずかしいとか、からかうとかいう気持ちなしに、
他人の心の優しさに触れることが出来たような、稀有な感覚になる。
いいですよ。

このVOL1に関しましては、他の物と比べて若いです。
若さ故の青さもかいまみえます。
しかし、それが谷川俊太郎の鋭さと融合していて、なんともいえない、不思議な読後感を与えてくれます。
最近読んだ詩集に、宮本和樹「星月夜」と萩原朔太郎「月に吠える」があります。
私が好きな詩人は中原中也ですが、彼等と比べると、谷川俊太郎は一般の人にも読みやすいと思います。

なので、スムーズに☆5。
