石田衣良の作品としては、少し系統が違うような、それでいて不思議な面白味を感じさせられる内容でした。私はフラッシュバックの章から、何がどのように展開するのかドキドキしながら読ませていただきました。内容はちょっと殺人もあり嫌な部分もあったのですが、石田衣良さんらしい「愛」の描き方もよく出ていて総合的に満足な本でした。

石田作品にある”誰かの為に自分に何ができるのか？”
が色濃く出ている　そんな作品だと思います。
ミステリーやサスペンスの要素にファンタジーが絡んでいます。
死してなお人を思う主人公の心意気に涙です。
自分は何ができるのか、自分も何かしよう。と思わせてくれる
作品でした。
読み始め、半ばあたりから私は泣きどおしでした。

切なくも心が少し暖かくなるそんな作品です。
みなさんもどうぞお読みください。

始めはどろどろした話かと思いました。
書店の帯にあるように、「自分を殺した犯人探し」が主題なので。
でも、読み終わって、感動するとかじーんときた、というよりもなぜかほんわかした気持ちになりました。
人が未来を託すとき、というのはこんな気持ちなのかな、と。

冒頭で書かれている、産まれてくる赤ちゃんが感じる意外な生々しい感触もインパクトがありました。
『池袋ウエストゲートパーク』や『波の上の魔術師』などで著者の本には触れており、筆力のある作家さんだな、と思っていましたが、今回の本でも裏切られず、ますますファンになりそうです。

なんといいますか、事件の真相を主人公がメールでさっさと公開してれば全部解決したのでは？　物語の後半になるまでメールを送らない意味が理解出来ないよ……。
