新婚をちょっと脱しようとしている時期のエッセイのようですが、
甘くて優しい空気感がふんわりと伝わってきます。
汗を流さずに寝ようとする夫に「ベッドに来ないで」と言っておきながら、寂しくなって毛布をもって夫の寝ているリビングのソファーに行ってしまう可愛らしさ。お酒もタバコもやらない夫とは共有できない時間をマンション近くの野良猫と共有しているいたずらっぽさ。
どのエッセイにも江國さんの可愛らしさが溢れています。
恋がしたい。
結婚もいいかも。
でも自分の時間は大切にしよう。
そう思えた本でした。

奥さんになった彼女はよくそう思う。
よその女になりたいって。
結婚したらたくさんしようと思ってたことが
実現しないことが多い。
そんな愚痴が　甘く伝わってくる。
そんな生活を幸せに思ってる。
結婚って特別なことがないのに特別なんだって
そう甘く甘く伝わってくる本。
だから結婚した友達には必ずプレゼントしています。

江國さんは結婚２年目から３年目にかけてこれを書いたそうです。結婚１６年目の私が夫に伝えたかったことはまさしくこれ！です。説明してもわかってもらえない考え方の違いとか、私は窓を開けないと息ができなくなる気がするのに、窓を開けると「寒い」と言われるとか。。。

週末、くっついていたいのにけんかになってしまうなど。。。それはたくさんの我が家と同じ事例が書かれています。
どんなに「もうだめ！」と決断してもなかなか別れることができないのは、やっぱりキライじゃないからですよね。
ぜひ、夫にも読んでもらわないと！！
