4.0 out of 5 stars ダヴィンチ･コードのおかげで出会えた1冊, 2004/11/26
ダヴィンチ・コードのあとがきで紹介されている聖杯伝説を題材にしたスケールの大きなホラー。ラングドンシリーズにも聖職者や宗教に関する謎がこれでもかと出てくるが、基本的にキリスト教を絶対的に肯定している。（世界を敵にまわさないよう、非常にうまく批判をかわせる抜かりない作品に仕上がっている、ともいえる。）それに引き換え、荒俣さんの筆致はある意味潔いほど容赦がない。この度肝を抜かれるネタの一部は下手したらキリスト教信者の反感を買うこともあるのではないだろうか。キリスト教文化圏で育っていない日本人だからこそ書けた作品だと思う。

　日本の謎の教団と、黒いマリア、キリストの聖遺骸と聖骸布、レンヌ･ル･シャトーと欧州に暗躍する秘密結社･･･。SFとミステリーが大変上手く混在した、著者得意の物語構成である。
　ページをめくる手が止まらない、時間が惜しい、そして最後にはここレンヌ･ル･シャトーに行きたくなる大変面白く、魅力がある物語だ。

　ここに書かれていることは実話なのか?それともフィクションなのか?それさえも見分けがつかなくなり、ぐいぐいと引き込まれていく。
　『ダヴィンチ･コード』とあわせて読めば面白さは倍増。そして中世に誕生した秘密結社やキリストの謎を解明せざるを得ない不思議な『強迫観念』を秘めた一冊!!

ダ・ヴィンチコードつながりで、本書を手に取りました。
荒俣作品の中では面白いと思ったのだけど。何故か？
ずばり、本書で取り上げられている題材が、ある種の人々（＝オカルトマニアです）には興味深いからだと思います。
古代キリスト教とその対抗勢力、カトリック教の裏の歴史、レイライン等は我々を惹き付けてやみません。
小説のストーリーや人間関係の描写等、荒俣作品に完成度を求めてはいけません。陳腐な部分には目をつむりましょう。
ダ・ヴィンチコードと一緒に読むと、確かに面白いと思います。こういう楽しみがオカルトのロマンではないでしょうか。
