とりあえず本の題名がなんとなく儚げで気に入って読み始めました。読み始めてからは長崎にいる友達が耳元で語ってる感じがして変な感じだった。あの訛りのせいだ．．。村上龍の本の中ではなかなかマイルドな感じ．．というのが素直な感想。ハウステンボスには何度も行ったことがあるけど、あのフランスレストランの存在なんてちっとも知らなかった。はっきり言ってストーリーよりも本で紹介されるフランス料理の数々が私の心を捉えた！

とってもグルメで美味しい本です。空腹時に読むのはつらいかも。念のために加えて言いますが、ストーリーも良かったです。大人でなければ実感できない物語かも。昔の恋愛をたくさん思い出すことになるでしょう。この本を読む時は適当に何か食べたあと（何度も言うけど!空腹時にこの本はつらい）、静かなジャズでもかけてジントニックでもちびちび．．が良い感じの読み方！

最高のシチュエーション、でも、ハウステンボスという言わば虚構の世界の中でふたりは遠い昔の思い出と、今の間を行き来する。フツーの生活を送っている主婦アオキミチコにとってはまさに夢のようなひとときだっただろう。しかし、彼女はその夢にしがみつくことなく再び現実に目を向ける。あの頃にはもう二度と戻れないということを、十二分にわかっているふたりがとても切なかった。大人になってしまったふたりが。

村上龍という腕利きのシェフに、最高の料理とお酒を堪能させてもらった。

初恋の人が恋しくてしかたなくなる頃、会って見たい思いが募る。
しかし、大事なことを忘れている。お互い齢をとっていることである。
中学生の時の顔を思い出しても目の前には自分と同じだけ時間が経過した女がいて、自分が経験したようなことを経験してきた女がいる。
でも、恋しくてどうしようもなかった気持ちが、覆う。

そして、一瞬の思い出が現実となり、すぐに消え去る。
残るのは、それまでと同じ恋しい記憶への思いだけである。
大人のロマンスを描いたオシャレな作品。
