　１巻から３巻まで全編カラ-で、非常に読みやすい。旧約聖書の天地創造から、アダムとイブ、ノアの方舟、バベルの塔、 アブラハム、モ-セの十戒、ダビデ王、ソロモン王、等の話を経て、イエスの誕生までを、漫画にて紹介してあり、聖書を知らない人にとっても、たいへん読みやすいと思います。

　手塚治虫氏は、「ブッダ」という漫画も描いていらっしゃるし、結局のところ、世界一のベストセラ-は「聖書」らしいので、どなたも、こだわらずに、ご覧になってもよいのではないかと思います。

勝手な脚色はなく、基本的に聖書に忠実に描かれているので、聖書の入門としても役立ちます。
聖書を横において読まれるといいかもしれません。大型本にはない聖書の対応箇所が、物語ごとに印刷されています。

旧約聖書の解説本はたくさんあります。これは手塚治虫による旧約聖書物語。フルカラーで旧約聖書の初心者にもとっつきやすい内容になっています。決して写実的とは言えません。手塚ワールドに抵抗のある読者の方は、好き嫌いがはっきりすると思いますが、一度通読されることをお薦めします。文字だけでは印象として残りにくい話も、絵という視覚的な助けがあれば、記憶に残りやすく、そのためには有用な書物であると思います。
