この本に出会ったのはバンコクでした色々な人の手を渡って僕のところにきたぼろぼろの文庫本、カバーもなくて表紙にはなぜか破廉恥と落書きしてありました。
その時はまりにはまっていた僕にドラッグに対する正しい姿勢を教えてくれた大切な本です。この本をくれた人はつかまって今バンコクの刑務所にいます。
どらさん,中島らもは死にましたよ。

らも先生。
お元気ですか。そちらでも、いろいろな嗜好品をかっくらっていますか。それとも、「憂き世」でないから、もう必要ないのかもしれませんね。
私は○○○と、○ー○ーと、○いものがまだやめられません。○ー○は今のところやめています。これが一番人間失格になってしまうので、なんとかがまんしています。
らも先生の最高傑作は、「アマニタ・パンセリナ」だと信じています。小説や落語のほうは私には面白くありませんでした。ごめんなさい。
特にすばらしいのは、なんといっても先生が身を削ってボロボロになりながら記された、「ブロン断ち」のくだりです。こんなにすばらしいエッセイは、ほかにはありません。
ブロン中であることを人目に隠しながら、ブロンを求めて薬局から薬局へさまよっていたらも先生。ああ、よーくわかります。何かを隠しながら、それをしないではいられない、うしろめたーいその行動の逐一。私とて、○○○がやめられないばっかりに、対人関係も、行動範囲も、時間の使い方さえ、○○○優先にならざるを得ないにもかかわらずおいそれと悟られてはならじと人目を避けている。
生涯、さまざまな依存症に苦しみつきあい続けたらも先生。あなたが立派なのは、誰のせいにもしなかったこと。そう、依存症の人間は、誰のせいにもしてはいけない。それでなければ、「コレがやめられなくて悪いか！」と胸を張ることなどできません。
「必要なのは、研究ではなくて、受容と同化」名言である。らも先生にして、はじめて言いえた金言だ。まだ「憂き世」は続きます、らも先生。

急逝したらもさんのドラッグ（体験）大全。こんな経験に基づいた本はかつてなかったので読んでびっくりした。これまでドラッグの人文系の研究・書籍と言えば、澁澤龍彦氏やその中で引用される西洋古典や、ウィリアム・バロウズ、カルロス・カスタネダ、文化人類学、60年代のヒッピームーブメントの中、ドラッグによる人類の解放を唱えたハーバード大のティモシー・リアリー先生など、おおかれ少なかれ間接情報あるいはそれらの事実に基づく評論だったが、らもさんはその聖域を軽々と飛び越えた。

がまなめや朝鮮朝顔の話は面白かった。公の場のレビューだけに客観的事実喚起だけはつけくわえておこう。覚醒剤は日本で戦前に発明された薬で戦中は兵士の士気効用に利用されたと聞く、戦後はヒロポンとして合法的に売買され、のちに法律で規制される。理学的には脳のニューロン間を流れる神経伝達物質の１つで気持ちよさを伝える脳内麻薬ド-パミンに化学構造が類似して、人工的に快楽をもたらすが、反作用の苦しみは壮絶。らもさんは倫理論でなく体感的経験論として論外のドラッグと記述していた。
