風景の描写などは貧弱で作品に吸い込まれるような描写力などは一切ありませんでした。
NYに着いた初日、不安を抱えながら寮に入った巻頭の話から急にアパートの部屋探しに話が飛ぶなど
構成に疑問を持たずにいられませんでした。
役者を目指してる日々の奮闘記のようなものかと思ったので期待外れでした。
暗の部分を全てをさらけ出しているとは思えず苦労話よりも友達と仲良く過ごして楽しいです。
といった内容を読ませたいようにも思えます。
中古で買って良かったというのが読み終わった後の感想です。

（ニューヨーク）といえば、アメリカの中でも行ってみたいけど怖いなーというイメージがありましたが、著者の様々な体験を通して（自分自身をしっかり持って暮らせば街も人も勇気や元気をくれるよ！）とのメッセージが伝わってくる内容です。（自分をもつ）という事は日本人の気質的には難題かもしれないけれど、言うべき事はしっかり相手に伝える事なんだなぁと思う事が沢山有りました。
一度はニューヨークの街を闊歩してみたいと思う本です。

文芸書でありながら、実用的なガイドブックとしても読めます。
ニューヨークでのリアルな暮らしぶりが、かなり詳しく説明されていて。
巻頭から、いきなりアパートの部屋探しの場面が展開され、いつのまにか話の中に自分が立たされています。
読み終わったときには、ニューヨークがますます好きになっていました。。
ニューヨークへの旅を計画しているなら、ぜひ一読をしてみてください！
