タイトルだけを見ると、里山でビジネスを展開する方法が書いてある本かとも思えるが、中身は、起業を通じて、里山での生活を仕方を書いている本だと思う。話し言葉で、著者の里山での実際の生活が語られており、親しみやすい。お店が地域に密着し、自然の恩恵を受けて切り盛りされている様子がよく分かる。

定年後などに都会を離れて悠々自適の生活を送りたいという流れが大きくなっているなかで、起業しない多くの人にとっても、里山で生活するための知恵として、参考になるのではないだろうかと思った。

玉村豊男氏はエッセイスト、画家として知られるが、本当はすごいビジネスマンでもあると思う。
決して規模をむやみに拡大しない。豊かさを持った成長をしているのである。それもビジネスとして成り立つのが難しい土地にあってである。

この本に、こんなくだりがある。

拡大しないで持続する。
持続しながら生活の質を上げる。
どんなにグローバル化が進展しても、それに影響のない生活を確立する。
そんな暮らしができたら、どんなに素晴らしいことでしょう。

額に汗して働くことの貴さと、豊かな生活を目指し、長野でワイナリーとレストランを経営する玉村さんの活動は、単に規模の拡大でない、本当の豊かさを持った成長である。
そしてこの本のメッセージは、現代のグローバルビジネスの時代に対するアンチテーゼでもある。
久々に読後にすっきりする本を読んだ。
真の豊かさを知りたい人に勧めたい。

　全国の里山自然保護に世間が目を向け、環境を活かした普遍性のあるビジネスモデルについて書かれていると思い、本書を手に取ったが、そういった面も少しは含まれているものの、大半は著者がオーナーのワイナリー＆レストランの紹介に終始しており、残念だった。

　何を目当てに大勢の人が集まり、どれぐらいの開業前予算が必要で、収益があるのか（ワイナリーについての一般的な予算は細かく明示）、についてもよく分からない。
　自前の畑で取れた作物を出せば、山の中の不便な場所でも客は来る、わけではなく、追加費用についても著者のようにおいそれとポンポン支出できまい。
　何より45名もの従業員を雇用しているとくれば、読者が想像するような夫婦や親子など少人数で起業可能なものではない（小規模では「ビジネス」ではないとの反論もあろうが）。

　ワイナリーやワイン作りに興味ある人には楽しめるか、とも思ったが、この程度のことについては周知か。
　田舎暮らしの面では良い部分もあったが、期待はずれ分もあり、☆２減点とした。
