　語学で生きていく、食べていく、お金をいただく、にはどうすればいいか、の解説書です。仕事の種類から、それをめざしての勉強法まで、おまけにどんな言葉がもうけにつながるか・・まで述べた総合簡易解説書です。ケーススタディまでついていますがここまでになるには並大抵の苦労ではないだろうことを、限られたページから是非十分に読みとってください。”質疑応答”コーナーでは私たちが抱きそうな疑問を中心にいくつかとりあげています。意外におもしろかった章は学習メソッドの種類と特徴で自分が外国語を教えられてきた過程と照らし合わせてみるのもこれからの勉強に大いに参考になります。どちらにしてもこの本で読むような「語学で飯が食える」人っていうのはうらやましいものです。

仕事として外国語の能力を生かすために必要な能力の基準、どのようにして勉強するかを詳しく述べている。さらにどのようにして営業するかまで触れている。

実際の著者の経験から見えてきた翻訳、通訳などに必要な能力の基準、今後の勉強の方向がしめされていて参考になります。

必ずしも語学力が必要な仕事をするつもりがない人でも、この本を読むことで外国語の勉強のモチベーションがとてもあがるでしょう。

語学が大好きで頑張っているがなかなか上達しない人、またタイトル通り語学で身を立てようとお考えの方は必読の書です。
下手に高いお金をかけて語学学校に通ったり、ネイティブにこだわってとにかく外国人教師につこうと思っている方は、まずこの本を読むことを強くおすすめします。
日本人に合った、最適で最短の語学習得の道が書かれています。
しかも、高圧的な部分は全くなく、著者の今までの苦労してきた経緯にとても親近感が持てます。
また軽い気持ちで語学を始めようと思っている方も、この本を読んで著者のすすめる通りに勉強を進めたら、想像以上の結果になるのではないでしょうか。
よく高い教材をみかけますが、この本を読んでから自分のペースで勉強を始めた方がはるかに効率的だと思います。
社会人や主婦、熟年と、年代別にアドバイスが書かれているのも救われました。
本当に、隠れた名著です。
少なくとも、語学が大好きですが中級で足踏みしている私にとっては救世主のような本でした。
