三年ぶりの続刊です。原作の漫画も進みませんが、小説版もローペースです。ベニー松山氏の文章は相変わらず素晴らしいのですが、ストーリー的には大きな展開はありません。次刊に向けての伏線的な描写が多く、また、本刊のラストが次刊の冒頭からのバトルを予感させる展開なので、お楽しみは次刊でというところでしょうか。単刊で評価すべきものではないのでしょうが、一冊の中に一つくらいは大きな見せ場が作って欲しいところでした。前刊が面白かったかたやベニー松山氏のファンは買いですが、この刊については、期待しすぎないほうがいいかもしれません。
次は「司星セイン」の３巻を出してからになるそうですが、気長に待つことになりそうです。

ところで、バッハ４世が真の後継者を得るために必要としているのって、あの娘のことなのでしょうか。

…凄い人ですよね。ベニー松山氏という人は。
読み終わってつくづくそう思いますね。
原作マンガ本編よっか圧倒的に面白いんですけどこの小説。
スイマセン。ウソつくの嫌いなので(笑)
一向に話の終わりもメリハリも無い原作とは雲泥の差に見える。
とても比較にならんように思えた。。
このクオリティだと長かった三年も何故か許せてしまうのです。

私は原作本編をもう殆ど諦めて専らこの小説を中心に堪能しています。
ただ挿絵と表紙カバーイラストの質の高さは非常に良いです
皆さんも是非とも堪能あれ。

☆五つ。

原作は現代編から現在の漫画本編まで、一応のストーリープロットが出来ているのに、この刊行ペースはありえない。

著者の文章力は問うまでも無い。

バスタードフリークでもなければ、読めた物ではない。

ファンタジー小説としての格も低い只のライトノベルです。
実際、方舟編以降ならば面白いという評価が多い事を鑑みれば、著者の文章力がどの程度か理解出来ると思います。

方舟以前の内容が評価されているのは、あの時代にはダークファンタジーの存在が少なかったから好評価だっただけですので、漫画の一巻より過去の内容を著しても今更です。

萩原氏の絵が好きな方のみが購入する事をお薦め致します。特に完全版(愛蔵版?)を購入している方向けでしょう。

但し、カラーページは少ないので悪しからず。
