１４歳の女優・未央と映画監督・一哉のラブストーリーです。
題の通り、『ハンサムな女性』がキー・ワード。

未央は映画に情熱を傾ける一哉に徐々にひかれていき、
一哉も未央が自分の理想のハンサムな女の子と思っているけれど、
一哉は今は自分の全てを映画にかけたいと思っていて…
と言うのが、この巻からの第一部。

未央も一哉もとっても素敵ですし、
他にも、友達であり映画にも関わるアイドルの彩やカメラマンの収等、
魅力的な人達も登場して、仕事に恋に大忙しな未央のお話です。

私が小学生の時に初めて買ったマンガなのですが、１０年経った今読んでも面白いので☆五つです！！
是非おすすめ♪

　第一巻で印象的なのは，やっぱり，パーティー大脱走。
映画が好きだ，と語る一哉の無邪気な笑顔も魅力的。
　出会いから、未央が惹かれるまでの過程の描き方が秀逸だ。

なんて言えば良いんだろう、とにかく、「りぼん」らしくない独特の雰囲気。
　すごく作り込みがされていて、やはり、この作品は
吉住渉の原点なのだろうと思う。

　ハンサムな女性は，私にとっても理想だ。
同性に好かれる女性は，ハンサムなのだ，と思う。

　未央の魅力は，普段は普通の女の子だが，スクリーンでは
ハンサムだというそのギャップなのだろう。

テレビタレントであり本格的な女優を目指している未央ちゃんと、映画監督の息子であり、本人も映画監督を目指している才能ある若者一哉くんとのさわやかな恋愛物語。
一応ジャンルとしては、芸能界もの、ということになりますが、ドロドロとした展開は全くなく、終始さわやかなストーリーです（まあ、設定が中学生だから、あたりまえかな）。主人公の未央ちゃんが、実際は心優しいとてもいい子なんだけど、役者としての役どころが、清純可憐な主人公の”敵役”であり、ちょっと悪役っぽい役をいつも演じている、という設定が気に入ってます。また、そんな未央ちゃんに、一哉くんが、自分の好きな外国映画女優にみられる”ハンサム・ガール”を重ね合わせていて、彼女にそんな女優になってほしいと思っているし、また、そんな女優を自分も撮りたいという夢を思っている。一哉くんは、親の七光りだけではなく、本当に才能があって、それでいてクールで、どことなく大人びた発言をする子で、当然女の子にもよくもてるんだけど、本人としてはどこが気に入られているのか、全然自分のよさを自分で自覚していない、というそんな男の子に描かれています。こうゆう男の子もいいですねー。ほんと、弟にしたくなります。映画仲間のみんなで未央ちゃんを主役に映画を撮る、という展開になるんだけど、実際にはこんなことありえないなーと思いつつも、みんなで力を合わせてひとつのものを作り上げるという姿はいいもんだなと単純に思いました。私もこんな10代を送りたかった！
