昔むかしあるところに活発な娘とおしとやかな息子がいました。
しょうがないので、娘を息子に、息子を娘にして育てました。
という、まぁ聞いたことのあるようなお話。

しかし、ジャパネスクをご存知の方も多いと思いますが、
この人の古典関係の面白さはすごい。
古文を習う年代の女の子は読むとこの時代にとっても興味がわくと思う。

大人になって読んでも面白いですよ~。
氷室冴子先生の本で育った人はもう一度読んでみよう。

氷室冴子さんの書くお話はどれも面白かったが、「なんて素敵にジャパネスク」と本作「ざ・ちぇんじ！」は飛びぬけて面白い。やはり平安コメディを書かせたら、この人の右に出るものはいないと思う。

少女小説という分野で出版されていたので、男性やある程度の年齢の方には手に取って読んでみる機会がなかったと思われるが、すごく勿体ないことだと思う。最初に出版されてから、かれこれ２０年経つが、今読んでみても全く色褪せない。これまで手にする機会のなかった方や、古典が苦手だという方、また氷室冴子を知らないような若い方にもぜひ読んでもらいたい１冊。
本を読むのが苦手だという方は、山内直美さんによってマンガ化されているのでそちらを読んでも良いと思う。原作に忠実に描かれているし、綺羅君と綺羅姫の美しさがよりイメージできてオススメ。

私が高校生くらいのころ氷室さんの本を読んだような気がします。たぶん・・この作品だったか、もしかすると「なんて素敵なジャパネスク」のほうだったのかもしれません。当時は、平安時代の設定が理解できず（読解力のなさ）で登場人物の聞きなれない名前に四苦八苦して絶対読みきっていなかったと思います。でも、今回本を読むことにも慣れた段階で、この本を読ませていただきました。おもししろいです。男なのにわけあって姫として育った弟。女なのにどうしてだか男子のようにたくましく育った姉・・・。最初の数ページ読んだだけで「なにごとかいな？」というような感じで、お話に引き込まれてしまいました！！！これから続編を読みます！！！じっくり読まされた！！って気がします。それくらい早いテンポで話の展開でどんどん進んでいくのですが、失笑してしまうような不振な点はなく、本当に考えられた構成で、夢中にさせられます。うわ！おもしろい！！きゃぁ〜！！っていうのが感想です。読んでそんなし！！！別の作品もぜひ読んでみよう！と息巻いた次第です！！
