天地戦争を舞台に物語が進められますが、TOD2で登場したソーディアンチームとは違います。

これを読む時はTOD2の概念は全て捨て去って下さい。

主人公は何とも主人公らしくないカーレルです。
アトワイトやリトラーとの対立や己との葛藤は見物でしたね。


内容的には戦争が舞台なだけに凄く濃くて、痛々しくて、血生臭くて、荒んでいて、嘲笑的で、絶望的で、鬱々しくて……とにかく暗いです。
鬱小説と言っても過言ではないかと。
個人的にはTOD2の歴史より面白味があって好きです。

最後は皆さんご存じの結果になるわけですが、これもまたひと味違いました。
読み終わった後の何ともやり切れないような満足したような不思議な感覚に、どうか囚われてみて下さい。
