膠着したイメージを壊す、千利休の姿に感動。
ある意味、分かってなければ、到底描けない漫画だと思う。

あまりにも素晴らしすぎてこの9巻について語ることなどできません。
個人的には上半期漫画ベスト1といっても過言ではいない出来でしょう。

読み終わり、ふとカバーを眺めていると涙が溢れそうになりました。
ここで黒を選択してくださった山田先生とデザイナーさんにただひたすら感謝です。

これ程圧倒的なカタルシスを与えてくださったこの作品がどのような結末を迎えるのか…
楽しみです。

へうげもの９服前半は利休切腹、後半は文禄の役終結から利休後の世界を垣間見る展開。
史実を踏まえ定説を裏切りながら描かれる利休・秀吉・織部、３者の業。
表紙の装丁は指紋をつけるのももったいないほど格好いいリキュウブラック。

利休切腹の1日を描いた第90席〜92席は神懸っている。
孤独に堕ちる秀吉の姿を見て介錯人を引き受ける織部は憤りに満ちた利休と対峙。
しかし織部は切腹の場さえ茶席と見立てた利休の真意を汲み取り、
利休は笑いの力を以って迷いから織部を解き放つ。
連載を読んだ人がweb上で利休に「ありがとうございました」と書いていた。
利休の「それがあなたなのです」という言葉は読者を無限の肯定感に包んでくれる。
かくして織部を通して、利休は歴史上の人物から読者の宗匠になった。
これほどに実社会の人間に影響を与えたマンガのキャラクターは、
「あしたのジョー」の力石徹以来ではないかと僕は思う。
ここまでへうげものを読んだ人おめでとう、あらためて宗匠ありがとう。

後半は耄碌した秀吉・恰幅の良くなった家康らみな歳をとる中で
織部はより精力的に活動し、ついに”ゆがみ”に開眼する。
小西行長ら新たなキャラクターも登場し、利休門弟達との対立や関ヶ原を匂わせながら
織部の朝鮮渡海？と登り窯伝来に向けて話は進む。
「アナタガスキダカラ」と熟女を口説くヨン様を具志堅が幻のワンツーで仕留めたり、
天然芸人利家 vs 必死すぎる家康など笑いどころも多い。
日本のカルチャーレヴォリューションまであとわずかだ！
