斬り合いのシーンのような張り詰めたような迫力はないけれど、
とても面白く読めました。

あの長い、吉岡一門との戦いの末にたどり着いた境地、
誰よりも天下無双に近いと思われる武蔵本人が、
天下無双は陽炎だったという、自分なりの答えを見つけだす。
最近「最後の漫画展」を見ただけに、ここからの流れだったのかと、
とても感慨深かったです。

おつうの想い、光悦の想い、沢庵の想い、
武蔵や小次郎を取り巻く人たちの優しさに、ほっとします。

強さについて、やさしさについて、
欲や執着や後悔や諦め、
自分も迷いながら書き続ける作者の真摯な姿に、とても好感を持ちます。

そして、また歩み始めた武蔵の選ぶ道、
小次郎とまた交わるその時を、早く見たいです。

ようやく武蔵と小次郎との最後の闘いまでの道の第一歩を踏み出した巻。 この巻でも前巻から引き続き、第一巻からの過去の闘いとの邂逅(振り返り)が描かれ「今までのバガボンドはこういうことだったのだよ」という、物語で一番伝えたかったことが語られているかのようでした。 過去の闘いを一つ一つ丁寧に振り返りつつ、更に以前に帰るように最後の一人を求めていくわけですが‥ バガボンドという物語の中で剣とは、闘いとは、強さとは、そういったものにどれほどの意味があったのかというのは、この巻まででほとんど描かれてしまったのだと思います。 「最後のマンガ展」でこの物語の行き着く先を見てしまった読者として、この先に何を見せてくれるのか。光悦の言うように、武蔵と小次郎が持つ剣に「美」が描かれるのか。 そして動かなくなった脚は?もう一人武蔵の前に現れるであろう子供は? 今後の展開は更に変わった形で訪れることを期待せずにはいられません。 小次郎までの道の一歩を、半ば引きずりながら踏み出したわけですが、まだ右足は動かず。「剣を使わぬ武蔵の闘い」はどうなるのでしょうか。

ついに30巻
そして物語は「あの戦い」に向けて動き出す
それがこの30巻ではっきりと描かれている

あまり好評ではないようだが
この30巻無しでは物語は終わらない
終わってくれない

そして、小次郎と光悦達の別れの場面は間違いなく名シーン
