３巻での、異動になった先での新天地で頑張る人達の話とは対照的に、
今回は、「頑張れなかった人達」にスポットライトが当てられてゆく。

相手のことを思いやり、誠実に仕事をしてきた故に、自分を追い詰め体を壊すデスク。
優秀なゆえに仕事が集中し、ワーカホリックになり無気力状態に陥る同僚。

真面目に誠実に、手を抜くことができなかったために戦線離脱していく。
「弱いのは一体どちらなのだろう」と思う松方のモノローグは、
安易なものさしで仕事を描かないこの作品らしい一言だと思った。

松方の親友の内科医、梅宮編集長、成田デスクと名脇役達も健在。
個人的には、松方の恋愛メインになるよりは、
これまでの営業マンや異動の話のように、
群像劇風に働く人々をじっくり描いていって欲しいなと思う。
（恋の相手が気になって、信じてなかった占い師にもう１回行ってしまう
松方は可愛かったけど/笑）

安野モヨコの描く「普通のおじさん」の顔がとてもいいので、
硬派な作品展開を期待しつつ次巻を心待ちにします。

5.0 out of 5 stars 青年誌だからこそ可能な、安野の描く｢働く女性」の魅力, 2007/10/14
漫画家として文字通り「働きマン」で、常に第一線で頑張ってきた安野モヨコの快作。
彼女の大傑作｢ハッピーマニア」は、シゲカヨの破天荒な｢恋の道」と並んで、(密かに）「女が働くこと」が重要な意味をもっていましたが、「働きマン」では、そんな作者の価値観がストレートに描かれています。
（もちろん、シゲカヨと松方は生き方も性格も正反対のキャラですが）
安野は作品ごとに絵柄を変えますが、「働きマン」は青年誌の為か、絵柄が甘めでなく、また、（女性誌では、まずメインに描かれることのないであろう）いわゆる美男でない男性キャラがとても魅力的です。
そして、頑固な職人、仕事で挫折を味わった人、ニートの青年などの描写を通して、作者の眼差しの優しさも感じられる作品です。
(｢美人画法」でみせた、彼女の美意識がすごく出ています）
女性は間違いなく、元気をもらえる作品。
そして、１０代、２０代でも楽しめますが、３０代(作者と同年齢）になった時、松方の（ある意味不器用で）ひたむきな生き方が身につまされ、また、愛おしく感じられると思います。
さて、男性読者は？　−決して、甘すぎず、アイロニーもきかせた、青年誌だからこそ可能だった、安野作品の魅力、だだ存分に楽しんでください。

絵、内容共に更に一段上のレベルに上がっていて、未だ失速しない才能の勢いにはただただ敬服します。
松方の苦しみかたってすごくリアルです。悩みや苦しみや疑問が、どんな時も常に人生のベースにあるんですね。
でもその誠実さ、無防備なところが松方の魅力なんだと思います。
