マンガの裏面に、
「本物の受験生それは、「自分で勉強する」ということ。
自分がしたい勉強をする、
そうなれば周りが余計な指導をする必要はない！」
と書いてあります。

う〜む、ついにその域まで来たか、といった感じです。

このマンガは受験テクニックだけでなく、
「勉強とは何か」「なぜするのか」「どうしたらやる気になるのか」
といった本質論も扱われているので
当初から注目していました。

東大を受験しようがしまいが幅広く人生に応用の利く哲学・方法論が
ストーリーの中にわかりやすく織り込まれています。

なににしろ、読む価値があるマンガです。
「勉強」をひろくとらえ、本当の成功をめざす人に、強くオススメします。

矢島の父母と桜木の会話は、親として重要である。
愚息は誰のために勉強しているか。
自分のためとは信じたいが、親のためというのも多分にあるように思う。
中学受験するわが子をつぶさないために、
一喜一憂しないを肝に銘じよう。
でも、ついついよかったら誉めるし、悪かったら・・・なんだよなぁ。

センターまで４６日、東大２次まで８１日。
この巻の重要なテーマは、<<自分で勉強する>>ということ
東大合格をエサに勉強を始めた水野と矢島は、ごく自然に
自分から勉強するようになります。
弁護士桜木によると、この時期は、ひたすら、収穫することに
専念し、新たな問題に手を付けてはいけないと言います。
妻も、高校受験の最後に、過去にやった問題集の間違を
繰返し繰返し解いたことで、予想外の好成績が取れたと言います。
息子も、この方法に習って間違った問題をなんべんも
やらされたようですが、何回やっても同じ間違いを繰り返して
いるようでした。
弁護士桜木は、自分の意思で自発的に勉強を始めたものが
強いと断言します。
<<仕事においても進んで興味の幅を広げどんどん挑戦していく
...何事も行動の基準が自分にある...こういう人間が大成功

また、この巻、桜木の言う受験生の親のありかたが参考になります。
