　一度読み始めたら止まらない面白さがあります。続きが知りたいと思うドキドキ感は歯痒いのですが、その分読んでいる時の幸福感はたまりません。そんな感情を味合わせてくれる作品です。
　絵のタッチや描写が繊細で、デフォルメされて描かれているなど、可愛らしい画風なので、現実のイイトコだけ抜き出して綺麗にまとまっちゃているお話かと思われる方もいるかも知れません。しかし実際は結構ヘビーな部分が多々あります。主人公の母親が体を売って生計を立てていたり、同級生のいじめっ子は主人公を「淫売の息子」と罵ったり、部落差別的なこともこの町の中では存在しています。ただ、このような設定が良い方向にはたらいて作品のレベルを高めています。
　海のピアノの才能がとんでもなく、ほぼあり得ないことなのですが、そんなことが気にならないパワーと魅力がこの作品にはあります。きっと読めばハマリ、この本に出合えて良かったと思うことができるでしょう。

良い作品です。特に４巻から良くなります。

しかし、残念ながら、この第２巻には一部に過激とも言える性的なシーンがあり、
とてもピアノ教室に置いておけるものではありません。
ちょっと小中学生にはキツい内容でしょう。

タイトルや、表紙のイラストが綺麗なので、誤解を生じやすいです。
性的なシーンだけリライトすれば、充分、小中学生でも楽しめるのですが。。

でも、第４巻目のコンクール編からは、ピアノ教室にも置けるような内容になっています。
優れた作品なので、ぜひ音楽の好きな方にオススメしたいです。

阿字野先生はカイの秘められた能力を見出す。彼を拒絶するカイ、しかし
音楽の魅力はカイと先生を必然的に導く。そしてショパンとの出会い。

ピアノ弾きにとって、ショパンはその奏法においてだけでなく、その響き
において、避けては通れない相手なのだ。

性的表現について、ピアノ教室で子供さんを教えている先生、あるいは小
さな子供さんがピアノを習っているお母さんにとって、心配されるのは良
く理解できるのですが、いくつかの表現はカイのおかれている環境を限ら
れたスペースの中で表現することを考えるとやむを得ないのではないかと
思います。大体テレビのバラエティーショウなどほとんどそれに満ちてい
るし、そのテレビ番組は番組自体が下劣なのに対し、この作品がそれを扱
うには理由があり、そして作品自体は素晴らしいのですから（これは私が
男だからかもしれませんが）。
