最終巻です。
神谷が抜けた掛川は平松を主将にした新チームで練習試合をしていく。
しかし、不調の掛川に喝を入れるべく、久里浜が練習試合を申し込む。
そして、７年の月日が流れて２０１０年Ｗ杯が開催される。

って、かなり手抜きです。いきなり高校生がプロになってＡ代表に選ばれてます。ハッキリ言って、インターハイ本大会編に入ってから絵が下手になってる。掛川ＶＳ久里浜の大一番も、単純に３-２で掛川の勝ち。もっと久里浜が後半にがんばってもよかったんじゃないか。
平松が準々決勝で試した新兵器もどこにいったんだ。
もっとちゃんと書いて欲しかった。

熱き挑戦あたりまではかなり面白かったんだけどな・・・

このシリーズが好きだった。
だからこそこの終わり方は納得がいかない。
数々の伏線はどこへ行った？
和弘の新兵器は？ルディの秘密のシュートは？
ハンスのパスの秘密は？（どーせかまいたちなんだろうけど）
ワールドユースへの期待をあれだけ駆り立てておきながら、
スペイン戦もブラジル戦も描かれない。
光岡ジョージと馬堀の関係は？

いきなりワールドカップへワープだなんて、
そんな打ち切り的な終わり方をしないでくれ。
これでホントにワールドユース編が描かれないなら、
この作品の価値は地に落ちる。

何これ。何この終わり方…。えっ?ワールドユースはどうなった!あれだけ話を広げて触れずに終わるの?久里浜とかしなくていいからワールドユース描いてよって。引っ張って引っ張ってこんな終わり方かよ。もうこの人マンガ読む気にもならんわ。
