著者について

■寺沢大介（てらさわだいすけ）
1959年、兵庫県生まれ。1985年、「フレッシュマガジン」にて『イシュク』でデビュー。1986年、「週刊少年マガジン」に連載された『ミスター味っ子』が大ヒット、アニメ化。1988年、『ミスター味っ子』で、第12回講談社漫画賞を受賞。1996年、『将太の寿司』で、再び第20回講談社漫画賞受賞。主な作品に『WARASHI』、『将太の寿司~全国大会編~』などがある。2001年4月より『喰わせモン！』を連載。

アニメ版の方が圧倒的に面白いという評価は多く、最後まで「後出し勝利」という水戸黄門的ワンパターンさはあるが、少年漫画としては秀逸。私も影響され、コックを目指したいと考えていた時期すらあったｗ

この漫画で特筆すべきは、諦めないことと工夫。最後の最後まで粘り、逆境に負けない主人公の姿はバトル漫画やスポーツものなどの主人公にも匹敵する。まぁある意味バトル漫画かｗ

アニメはキャラクターの数も多く、演出が非常に派手なのでお勧めではあるが、是非原作から入ってほしいところ。

少年誌の料理漫画の定番とも言える作品。
天才少年料理人が大人の地位も名誉も得ている料理人たちを次々とアイデアと工夫で打ち破っていくという展開は爽快かもしれない。しかし・・・アニメ版と比較すると面白さでは劣りますな。
アニメ版の突き抜け方は尋常じゃありません(笑)。陽一の工夫した料理を実際に作ることが出来るのか?という疑問と、本当に美味しいのか?という疑問は漫画版では出てくるのだが、アニメ版では出てこない(笑)。
て言うか考えられませんよ、アニメ版では。アニメ版で味皇様が「美味い」と言えば(勿論、例のオバーアクションでです)「そりゃ、味呈様が美味しいとおっしゃるんだから、美味しいんですよ!」と納得してしまいます(笑)。
その点でパワー不足かな。後、「必ず陽一のほうが後から料理を出す」=「後に料理を出したほうが勝利」という方式が確立されてしまっていて、陽一が先に出していたら展開違うのでは・・・などとついつい突っ込んでしまいます。このパターンは結局、崩せなかったですよね。
続編が連載されているようですが、そのあたりはどうなんでしょう。
