大人の視点からみれば、小学生なんてお気楽な生活で、悩みなんてあっても大したことはない、なんて思いがちですが、僕たちもあの頃は、抱えていた「些細な問題」に、大人になった今と同じくらいに心を痛ませ、悩んでいたものです。

そんな時代の気持を思い出させてくれる・・・というのは、この作品についてよく形容される表現ですし、事実、テーマはそこにあると思います。しかし、そんなアイデア勝ちだけな作品ではなく、そのテーマを生かしきり、時には考えさせるような疑問やメッセージを投げかける内容の濃さを持った、単純に「漫画」としての面白さを充分に持った作品でもあると思います。

これだけの水準で毎回続けていくのは、やはり厳しかったのでしょうか。売り上げなどはよく分からないのですが、人気はあったと思います。やはり作者の判断での終了なのでしょうか。一ファンとして、非常に残念ですが、ここでの終了によって、個人的には「捨て話」のない、完璧に近いクオリティの作品となりました。作者も気に入っていたであろう、魅力的なヒロイン「光子」が動く姿がもう見られないのが、一番の心残りです。

　作者の光子への愛情が伝わる最終巻です。終わり方が心憎いです。青春物はこうでなくちゃ。
　これはあくまで物語の横糸ですが，作者の不良たちへの視線が作品にたいして独特の味を持たせていると思います。読んで，不良たちへの視線を感じてください。
　感傷的で申し訳ありませんが，作者のご冥福をお祈りいたします。ご存命中にレビューを書けばよかったのにと思います。
