この巻では22話、23話での敬介救出のために他の8人ライダーが全員集合。
もっとも、変身して登場したのはXを除けば1号2号、アマゾンにストロンガースカイライダーですけど。
24話は地獄、暗闇両大使の過去と良やルミ達の休息的な場面、たった数ページなのが惜しいくらい。
一応、次の25話でも数ページありますが。
25話〜27話ではゼクロスVSタイガーロイドをメインにその傍らではがんがんじいの登場、バダンの本格侵攻、自衛隊演習場のブラックサタン、敬介の左腕の復活とアマゾンの友情など。
28話では新宿を舞台にショッカーライダーを討つべく共闘するゼクロスと1号、そして2号のフォローがあるとはいえ即興のライダー車輪成功、最後現れた巨大ドクロとJUDOの声にと共に次巻へ続くというものでした。

ところで、25話の良と三影、二人共ノーヘルでは…
良の場合は5巻でも前例がありましたが。

~次第に明らかとなる謎。そしてバダンの日本侵攻が始まる中、いまだゼクロス＝村雨は「己の復讐」と「正義」の間で迷走する。
そんなゼクロスと１号に、あの「ショッカーライダー」が襲いかかる！

残念ながら、これまでのテンポと比べてやや「間延び」した感は否めませんが（私的にはシリーズ初の「星１個減」です）、今やバダンを離反したニードルや、何~~やら「含み」のある三影といったキャラの不穏な動きもまだまだ気になるところ。目が離せません。~

各ライダーが再結集し、ＺＸ編のキーとなるキャラもあわせて
核となるキャラはほぼ全員集合です。
そのため、新旧のライダーや名脇役たち、オリジナルのキャラと、
いろいろな組み合わせによるドラマが生まれてきます。
村枝氏の、ＴＶシリーズに登場した面々、彼らに見合うくらいに
丁寧につくりあげたオリジナルキャラ、双方に対する愛情をひしひしと感じます。

この巻のみどころのひとつは、アマゾンと神圭介の友情でしょう。
第一部で時折見られた、変身後の姿で涙をうかべる演出がここでも光ります。
１０人目のライダー、ＺＸのために旧ライダーはとりあえず全員集合、
という安易な展開ではないし、
圭介とお父さんの絆を熟知しているアマゾンの優しさまでもがしっかりと盛り込まれています。

幼いながらスーパー1と一緒に戦ってきたという誇りをもっているジュニアライダー隊や、
復讐にかられる村雨とのやりとりでさえどこかコミカルにしてしまうがんがんじい、
名脇役たちも、彼ららしさを存分に発揮しています。

オリジナルキャラでは、三影にくっついてきた小島秀則も要チェック。
しょうもないただの不良少年、自称「ジュクのヒデ」だった彼にとって
三影の思想はほとんど理解不可能かと思われますが、それでいて、
足手まといになるだけの少年がウロチョロしているのを許しているあたり
三影にも人間臭さがまだ残っている証拠のように見えてなりません。
どうやら三影には、コイツを怪人にさせるプランなどもないようです。
新宿をプラプラしている間にはルミや村雨とも接触しています。
このキャラはいったいどういう複線をはるために登場しているのか、
今後も気になります。

ちょっとしか出番はないけれど、第一部の各エピソードに登場した
オリジナルのゲストたちも顔を出し、
まだまだ活躍する気配の人物もいるようです。
