シュトレーゼマン久々の登場（しかも芸者遊び中）、いままで回想か遠景でしか登場しなかったヴィエラも登場です。
なんといっても指揮者コンクールが盛り上がります。
“のだめ“の学校もようやく始まり、次の展開に向けた人物が続々（？）と登場してきます。中国の美人天才ピアニストのルイ、中国人留学生のユンロン、それから”のだめ“の学友になる少年”（後の巻で名前がわかります）
この指揮者コンクールかなりタフですね、レパートリーがハイドンから現代曲まで（お国柄、選曲にフランスものが多いように見えますが）、得意不得意言っていられませんし、オケのメンバーがわざと間違えた箇所を指摘する間違え探しなんて、どうするんだ！！って、感じです。
指揮者コンクールに出場している片平のジャンプを交えた指揮というのは見てみたい気がしますね（審査員も言っていましたが、ジャンプしてもリズムが崩れない指揮とは・・・）。

国内篇までの｢青春｣感に取って代わり、メインの2人がプロの世界や世界レベルの音楽教育に足を踏み入れるという、各々の根幹に関わるような展開の序章です。それに従って二人の関係も変わってきました。のだめは"音楽と関わる人との関係"を超えて"音楽との関係"が表面化してきたようです。シンイチ君はその真逆で、のだめとの関係が徐々にウェイトを占めてきています。今までになく曲者な先生も登場して、どう転がるか非常に楽しみです。成長すること、心を動かされる事の素晴らしさがまた予感されます。

いよいよヨーロッパ編ですが、爆笑R☆Sオーケストラ編やのだめコンクール編の迫力は欠けてしまっていて、ちょっとトーンダウンしてしまっていますね。新たな環境や、新キャラ登場で説明的な部分が多いので仕方がないかもしれません。今後の展開に期待ですが､個人的には国内組のキャラが再登場してほしいです。どーも新キャラはパワーが足りない気がしてしまうので。既刊と比べて、ちょっと厳しく星３つ。
