『自分にとって、仕事って何？』という、とても根源的な問題を
突きつけてくれる作品です。
とはいえ、それは押し付けがましいものでもなんでもなく、えらく
客観的な視点で描かれている。

仕事してこそ人生！と言わんばかりの主人公・松方弘子。
仕事は適当にソツなくこなすもの、という田中。
人生の“抜き方”を熟知している成田。
嫌われ役に徹する編集長。
少し甘えが残る若手のまゆ。
醸し出すオーラで、ありえない事をありうる事に変える女・梶。

他にもいろんなキャラクターが出てきますが、みんなそれぞれ、
ちゃんと仕事に対する価値観が違うんです。
これって当たり前の事だけど、一人の人間が描く世界の中で、と
なると、けっこう難しい事だと思います。

読み進めると、自分と合う！というキャラクターが必ず見つかります
よ。

すでに社会人な人はもちろん、これから社会に出ていこうとする方
にも読んで見て欲しいですね。


絵がオシャレなのは言わずもがなですが、安野さんのストーリーの
作り方の巧さも際立っております。
さすが。
基本的に一話完結形式ですので、その辺りも読んでいて疲れない
ポイントかも。

安野さんの作品は登場人物のファッションなどを見るのも楽しくて、
女性ファンが多いと思いますが、
今作ははモーニングに掲載されていた作品で、
読者層としてはサラリーマンなど働く男が多いのではないかと思います。
主人公？は28歳仕事に燃える雑誌編集者松方弘子。
話の中心にいるのは彼女ですが、
読みきりタイプで一話ごとに主人公が変わります。

仕事に燃える女、
仕事は入れ込みすぎずあくまでバランスと割り込む男、
嫌な仕事を続ける男、
女を武器に働く女
･･･などなどいろんなタイプの働く大人が描かれてます。
それぞれに理由を抱えながら、今日も働く！

自分はこのタイプだな~と考えながらよむのはもちろん、
高校生や大学生など就業前の学生にも読んでほしい。
スマートじゃなかったりするけど、働く大人はかっこいい！！

2005年初夏に2巻発売予定です。

実際にばりばり働く女性である安野モヨコが描くからこそ説得力のある作品。
色んな切り口から漫画が描ける作者の力量を改めて感じました。
ドラマ化しそうな感じ…。
